Even back when the Browns were considered good (Reagan was President) the Bengals had a history of pissing in our Cheerios. You said you thought the Browns got better this year. They did and they didn't.

• They let two starting linebackers walk in Free Agency thinking that Mack Wilson would step in.
  • He's injured and hasn't played a snap this year.
  • Drafted Jacob Phillips - He's injured and is out for tonight.
• They needed help at Safety and drafted Grant Delpit in the 2nd round. He's on I/R.
• Their O-Line was a mess (specifically at both Tackles).
  • Drafted LT Jed Wills in the 1st round.
  • Aquired RT Jack Conklin from the Titans.
  • BOTH got dinged up last week and are "Questionable" for tonight.
  • In addition, Center J.C. Tretter is also "Questionable" for tonight.
  • They have diddly squat behind these guys.

The Browns must run the ball to even stay in this game. I have serious doubts they'll be able to do that even considering all three Bengals RDT's (including Geno Atkins) are injured and out for the game. It's going go be decided by the play of the two QB's . . . Mayfield and Burrows.

He seemed to come thru sunday fine and i haven't seen anything to say he's a doubt for the Giants game. As for being a risky pickup....

The risk lies entirely in who he has for a HC. I knew nothing about Monty from college, but im a fan. I think he's a good back who can def have a career in this league. Honestly, i don't see him making too many pro bowls, but he's the type of consistent workhorse back stringing together 1k seasons that you used to see everywhere 20-30years ago.

Unfortunately for Monty his playcaller is a pass happy egomaniac with a boner for trickery. He was chronically underused last year and also played being a dogshit OL. HOWEVER, Nagy has taken a lot of fire for his O's woeful production the last 2years and in week 1 it looked like he may finally have got the memo, cos the O looked v different and relatively committed to the run behind an OL that also looked better. Monty still only got 13carries and it was the Loins afterall, but there is clear potential.

He's matchup dependant rather than every week starter but id keep Monty on your roster a while and see how it plays out.
