Again players are taught early and often play to the whistle. If players stopped without a whistle that is on them no matter how badly the guy jumped back. Any player saying he thought the play was over without hearing the whistle is making an excuse end of story. If the ball had been him hiked over Rivers head do you think players would have been standing around looking at it because they thought the play was over?

Again as much as there were bad calls the Steelers beat themselves. Ben interception in the redzone took off a sure 3 points and I say that even with Boswell having a bad season. If they kick that field goal the score is 16-7. Then Ben misses a wide open Justin hunter for a touchdown and they have to settle for 3 instead of getting 7 which would have made the score 23-7. They scored one more time before the half which means you would have gone into halftime leading 30-7. If the Steelers do that the game is over. Yes you keep crying the refs gave them 14 points but the Steelers were responsible for giving up 19 points. Bad calls did not win the game for the chargers. The Steelers leaving points on the field rather than on the board, covering Keenan Allen with linebackers, allowing the chargers to convert two 2 point conversions and letting Justin Jackson run for 51 yards and a touchdown in the 4th quarter is why they lost the game.
