Seriously, I like overlapping sports seasons. Im a variety type person and enjoy how hockey and NFL go at the same time. Waiting from week-to-week during NFL playoff season is not easy to do, so I got pucks all week long to keep me entertained and amuzed. In the Spring hockey runs into baseball, I like that too. I want all the sports I can get, lol!

Rained last night in LA. Rained a little more about an hour ago. But the field is covered. No problem for tomorrow. Play ball !!!

 

Too many people are picking Indy, I'm switching to KC. Chiefs vs Eagles in the Super Bowl.

 

There's a website that I look at each week. It's called NFLPickwatch.com.

What they do there is get about 125-150 people to do the same thing that we do here. Except these are sports people. TV, radio, blogers, computer guys, Vegas people, etc. I don't make my picks off of these guys. But it's fun to see what the rest of the world thinks about these games.

Here's what they think.

78% took the Chiefs
80% took the Rams
63% took the Pats ???? Hmmmmm
93% took the Saints

Back in 1982, the 'snow plow game' played in Foxboro against the Dolphins, the Patriots won 3-0 after a snow plow cleared enough of the field to enable the Patriot's kicker to make the winning score. At the end of the game a reporter attempted to get a few words from the snow plow driver, and it turned out he was temporarily let out of jail to do this job (removing snow) and was heading on back.

 

'82 ??? Ohhhh yeah !!! I do remember that. It's amazing what's stored in the deep, dusty, dark corners of our brains.
