Coincidentally, not only were the Saints #1 NFC Seed in 2009 and in 2018, but both editions only lost 3 regular season games....and to the same 3 opponents, although not in the same sequence.

Pretty amazing coincidence...and a good omen, if you believe in that sort of thing.

My heart says the Bears do a replay of SB XX and beat the Patriots to win it all this year.

My brain says I see a Chiefs/Rams SB....with Andy Reid finally raising the Lombardi.

If the Bears can't win it...I'm kinda pulling for the Chargers. But seeing Drew Brees win doesn't bother me as he's one of the truly good people in the world of sports. Great player on the field...really good human off of it.

Yeah he's slightly out performed Eason in his career, ha.

still love the 85 pats helmets though. if the bears make it to the SB - time for a new SB shuffle.

    Please no.

What we really need is for this team to be great enough to put some of that old nonsense to bed.

I loved that team as much as any fan. I was a season ticket holder at that time. Went to every game...plus 3 road games that year. Both playoff games...and I was in the Superdome when they won it all.

But Bears fans have a tendency to still live in 1985/86 and that's because no team that's come after in Chicago has been able to make anyone forget. They finally got back to the Superbowl in 06/07 but fumbled it away and then fizzled out immediately after.

The current team is built to hopefully sustain some success....and could be Super...if not this season...in the near future.

Cowboys fans tend to be the same way about the 90s glory years. 20+ years later, just two playoff wins since the 1996 season.

And that '85 Bears team...44-0 is a score I probably won't ever forget.

    I remember that one.

I was a big William "Refrigerator" Perry fan that year.
