  1. Thanks Joe. Part of me thinks Hester might breakout this game in a huge way. Just one of those feelings we Italians get, it's a gift. Safe money is probably on Welker and Smith.......
My friggin' gut tells me Hester is going to get his chances.

I would go with Welker and Smith as well. Welker has not broken out yet but he had been targeted nine times in both games he has played. It is only a matter of time with him. Smith is too explosive to sit with the matchup. All three have excellent matchups with all 3 defenses in the bottom 7 against receivers but from week to week we do not know where Hester fits into the game plan weekly (4 targets last week, 7 the week prior) where with the other two we know they are both going to be targeted heavily.

There is nothing wrong with following a hunch though SC, sometimes it pays off. Just telling you my preference in this scenario. I think the other two are guaranteed a set amount of points where Hester you have to plead with the fantasy gods that he gets extra attention from Ryan.

if you feel that good about Hester, then go with him (i'm starting Hester in one of my leagues too). i would also play Smith vs TB. Welker may be getting some targets, but there are plenty of options for distribution by Manning.

I have a QB problem this week. Drew Brees is on a bye and my backup is Carson Palmer. I guess I have to pick someone up.

    Brian Hoyer
    Geno Smith
    Derek Carr-questionable
    Jake Locker-questionable
    Mike Glennon
    Blake Bortles

are the QBs available. Should I go with Hoyer?

Hoyer or Glennon. i like Bortles too since Jax has NO running game.

You are a [del]delusional[/del] proud Steelers fan so forget Hoyer and go with the guy playing the Ravens... Because you think you can't have the Browns do well vs you and if you barely lost to Tampa then that means the Ravens will get crushed.

Honestly think s may be a good week to go Bottles if its just a week.

joe, i know you posted that with all humorous intent...
i did mention Hoyer first. but, if you hang out in the Ravens rooms, you'll see concerns about their secondary. almost everyone (Ratbird fans) seems to acknowledge the omnipresence of Jimmy Smith, but other than that, Ravens fans don't feel that great about the DBs they have. if that is so, then Glennon MAY not be a bad choice. all the while, i'd still consider hitting the Bottle for tomorrow though.

I don't think you can go wrong with either 3 without hindsight.

  9. I like Hoyer out of the choices. Only because he has shown the most brains of the group to this point.

This is a tough choice, but Hoyer at home vs Glennon on the road in Baltimore is what it really comes down to.

I think either way, you can probably set the over/under at 1.5 TDs.

another advantage for Hoyer is that he has already seen this upcoming opponent back in Week 1.

The same could be said for the Steelers D seeing Hoyer. I always feel it hold true for the worst team seeing a rematch though. That game was close though. Will be interesting to see who figured out who.

Reports coming out today that Carson Palmer will start today. Should I stick with him? ARI is the 4:25 game. Hoyer and Glennon both play at 1:00.

  14. Jason Guest

I like Palmer the most out of that group. Washington is horrible against QBs.

  15. Arizona Cardinals website states "No QB Yet To Be Named For Cardinals"

  17. Not sure why the Cardinals are not making it official. I would probably go with Hoyer at this point. He has been playing well and has never scored less than twelve points as a starter. Who knows how effective Palmer is going to be after being at home pulling on his shaft.

  18. Stanton cleared to play. Palmer questionable (shoulder). That is the latest.

  19. Jason Guest

If scared of the Palmer status go Hoyer.

ESPN's Adam Schefter suggested on NFL Countdown that Logan Thomas could mix in for Week 6 snaps "even if Carson Palmer or Drew Stanton starts."
Schefter said the Cardinals may throw "curveballs" against the Redskins, perhaps activating all three quarterbacks and using more than one of them. Thomas does have athleticism that neither Palmer nor Stanton can bring to the table, although coach Bruce Arians has never made extensive use of his QBs as runners. He's a classic vertical-pocket-passer coach. The only clear takeaway we can glean from all these Cardinals QBs reports is that Arians has everyone guessing. Even people inside his own organization.

I picked up Hoyer just to be safe
