Looking for a waiver pickup in a PPR league:
    Marcel Reese or Ronnie Hillman?

Reese will be the team's starting RB for all intents and purposes, this week, and has throws go his way. Matchup is against KC.
Hillman is the backup, but Denver is playing Jacksonville this week, so Hillman will see a weaker defense and potentially mop-up duty.

This is a future move, Pick up Edleman in a FA situation or Trade for Amendola

In trade giving up Ravens D,

Other D's I have are Seahawks and Browns

Why do you have 3 defenses?

I have Edleman in one league and will probably drop him soon. Amendola and Gronk are coming back and I don't see him getting enough catches.

I just dropped Edelman. I wouldn't trust any Patriot offensive player to start expect maybe Gronk and Brady

Have Cleveland's d for this week in case Johnson is still out. If he is it could be 15+ points

I think you have to track this until game time. If DMC is out then I would go with Reece even with the tough matchup because he will still get a bunch of looks in the passing game. If DMC is not out then Hillman in mop up duty hoping he scores when the Broncos have a big lead. Hillman and Ball could both get good touches this week if the game gets out of hand.

No need for 3 defenses. If you can get anything out of the number 3 defense do it in a heartbeat. Amendola is more than enough to pull the trigger on this. Click accept and try not to feel bad later for ripping the other guy off.

This is very good question first and foremost. You have a guy in a time share that loses the carries at the goal line vs a feature back in a horrific offense. Typically the feature back is a no brainer but in this case I am not so sure. I was a big MJD supporter coming into the season thinking he could carry the offense all by himself in a contract year but that is not the case to this point. In one hand, Henne and Blackmon could resurrect the offense this week but in the other hand they could still be horrid. A gambler will take MJD here hoping he strikes gold for his flex player and the pessimist takes what he has. I am typically a gambler in these scenarios but that Jaguars team scares me. I think the wide receivers will do well ROS but MJD is a different story. Being down in games early is going to cost MJD a bunch of points so I guess I would have to stick with Gio in hopes he continues to push the Law Firm out of the offense.

I appreciate that, Jason. We're in an incredibly competitive league, and both guys would be snatched up by the weekend. I put in a claim for both, got one (don't remember which) come waiver wire night. I appreciate and agree with the assessment.

I picked up Harry Douglas this week on the waiver wire. Should I start him with Julio Jones and Roddy White out or is Revis going to be covering him this week?

    smcndfan -

What are your options this week at WR?

  12. smcndfan Franchise Player Steelers

Roddy White is out so I have V Cruz, H Douglas, G Jennings, J Edelman

I'm thinking Jennings would be my other option. He is going against a bad Giants defense but will be working with a new QB.

This is an interesting question for sure.

I am starting Harry in one of my leagues hoping to catch some lightning.

He has time with Ryan in this offense so the transition should be smooth.

He will need some catch and run type plays to be a real factor but with a Tampa team that will play some zone with Revis I think that is a real possibility.

The Jennings option is a total wildcard. There is so little information to base anything on with this other than the Giants D being awful but I picked the Giants to win this game base on time of possession so IMO Greg's reps might be limited.

The Falcons will have to throw to win, the Vikings could ground it all day.

Tough call, but I would go with Douglas.

  14. Is Roethlisberger worth holding onto anymore? I have RG3 to start but was saving big ben for a bye week replacement.

  15. his line sux...not many weapons depends on who they play during RG3s bye week

  16. smcndfan Franchise Player Steelers

I wouldn't drop him unless you have a better option. He is still a good fill in for a bye week. In my standard league Ben only averages 2 less points a week than RG3.

Even with RG3's bye week passing in week five I would not advise it. He is an injury risk at this point and you do not want to be left empty handed at QB if Griffin gets hurt. The only way I would drop Roethlisberger in this scenario is if there is decent options at the position on a regular basis on your league's waiver system.

  18. Ill keep him. Thanks for the advice guys. I am worried about RG3 injury history too he can go down at any time. I hate it too because I think he is probably told to make the safe play by the team so he doesn't get hurt but thats not what makes him a great player. You take away his elusiveness and ability to leave the pockey and keep defenses honest than he becomes much less of a player.

Harry Douglas 140 yards and a TD in the first half *YAHOO*
