LOL. Well I hope it was one of those fancy gin and tomato juice drinks you love. They taste fantastic. Thanks
No one here has a problem with saying the Bears will win 5 or 6 games because most of the Bears fans here are really educated fans that aren’t homers and know this team isn’t to the point of being able to win a lot of games and contend for the division at this time. And that’s why you fail before you even begin. Your words are not thought provoking. I don’t think you can even fool yourself into believing that.
He is, which is part of the problem. There is very little in the way of salary movement for draft picks, to be negotiated. However, the terms of that contract can be changed all sorts of ways. When the money is paid out, what behaviors constitute losing some of that money, or what the team can dictate the player must do in a given situation (they like to keep these kids in line, given that they're young and thrown into a big situation)... That kind of stuff is what's negotiated. Where the problem comes in regarding his high draft status is that, as a general rule, players at the top wait for players below them to sign contracts, so that they have a basis to work off of. They can point to other contracts as leverage, one way or another. So, once one domino falls, the others usually do so in short order. I would expect Smith and most other first rounders to be signed in the coming week(s), without issue.
It's not a difference of opinion when you're stating, "people don't like me because...". That's personal, high school drama nonsense. Leave it at the door. Your lack of comprehension is upsetting, and beginning to feel very purposeful. Not many people are that dumb.
I was just reading about it and the article echoed your words here. That's pretty interesting. Is there any fear that he might not sign?
I don't think so. The days of rookie hold-outs are pretty much over. Hell, he's participated in every team activity so far - I think it's just a matter of his agents being sticklers about the particulars, as it the case for so many players. I see that the Vikings' Mike Hughes signed - that's another first round domino down. I'm sure it'll get taken care of ASAP, especially now that camp is starting. It's a damn shame that he's not there, and I hate it, but... it's kind of par for the course. The Bears used to be the best at this stuff, but it seems like we're falling in line with the rest of the league. Hate him not being in camp, but I'm sure that it won't be long, now.
You chose one line out of 7 pages and make it your mantra on my thoughts. And by the way. That line was absolutely a fact.
That does make sense coming from an individual that believes his in depth sports conversations come from his 5 year old grandchild that only thinks like himself. I won't
Okay you've had your moment here SPress ... now take these gentlemen's advice and find somewhere else to shoot your mouth off. You do NOT want to start shit here. These guys eat people like you for breakfast. So bye. Buh bye.
Yeah, I've heard it's tough in here. Yet, every time it gets down and dirty someone seems to message me to back off or I could be thrown off the site. Doesn't seem so tough to me.
