oh yes I agree 100% Tricky Ricky draft picks have always looked good on paper...then poof this player a bust and this player can't cut it,the only good thing he did IMO was hiring Zimmer,we will see how this draft works out it does look good on paper though, why do the football big wigs hate the Vikings luv the HATE!
Treadwell you're in the spotlight now its your job to lose do you want to be a Viking, time to prove your not a BUST the pressure is on...will Trae Waynes step up and be a shut down corner?
Everything I've read on it is very positive, and I nice change up from some of the reports that were out pre-draft that Bridgewater had likely played his last down as a Viking and potentially as a professional quarterback. It would be a really good story if he can make this long journey back and play again. It would be a really great story if he can make this long journey back and play at the ascending level that he was prior to the injury.
The anxiety is killing me. Him making it back would be a great thing and the makings for a movie or something, but I can see myself now, watching him play and cringing at every low hit. Still amazing he is even in camp and throwing it around at OTA's. Teddy was steady... never really a fantasy QB, but stable with the ability to lead and get the win. I believe he just had enough time in the NFL to show us the tip of the ice berg as far as talent goes. Who knows, maybe he could be the deep ball threat gunslinger over time. Hoping and wishing for the best...
I likened him to Chad Pennington before the draft, and the similarities are pretty exact, but I think he's a souped up version that prior to the injury looked like the answer to the void at the position. It was the top team on my list for the best player/team match for Ted going into the process. I still think it's a really good fit for him if Murray and Cook turn out to be a good tandem. The biggest benificiary would probably be Stefon Diggs as Stef's route running and timing patterns along with Bridgewater's anticipation accuracy are a very good blend. I believe that he would have been and still could be the franchise quarterback the Vikings are looking for.
I had read rumors about this before I had my doubts but I quess its true good to hear that he's making progress I wonder will he play in any pre-season games?..hope he makes a full recovery and finds his way back on the field
I saw the video on Teddy that was nice to see but he's got a long way to go,i hope the Vikings take there time with him...its all about making a full recovery and having a football career
Vikings ?really pleased? with Laquon Treadwell?s progress In February, Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur said that the team expected wide receiver Laquon Treadwell to make a big jump after a quiet rookie season. Shurmur revisited Treadwell?s status during OTAs this week. Treadwell has been working with Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen in three-receiver sets and Shurmur said that is a sign of how much the team has liked what they?ve seen from the 2016 first-round pick this offseason. ?He?s had a great, in my opinion, five-and-a-half weeks,? Shurmur said, via ESPN.com. ?He came back and he was really on point with what he?s supposed to be doing mentally. He?s been out here competing and doing a nice job running routes and catching the ball. Understanding where he fits in the running game and who to block. To this point, we?ve been really pleased with his progress based on a year ago.? The Vikings aren?t putting all of their eggs in Treadwell?s basket. They signed Michael Floyd this month as another option at receiver and he should get opportunities once he?s had more time in the system. He?s likely to be suspended early in the season for last year?s DUI arrest, however, and continued progress for Treadwell could close the door on further chances come the regular season. _______________ ________________________ Sure hope this is the breakout season we Vikings fans have been waiting for. Treadwell, if able, would be a fantastic target and really help the Offensive scheme in ball movement. I'm going to keep a closer eye on this guy.
me to can he be the redzone target and run seem route's for Sam Bradford, its up to him now to prove you can be a NFL football player
Thielen halled in some long balls and having a secondary threat for the deep ball will be a huge blessing... hope this works out. Vikings much improved this off-season. WR's look good, o-line revamped and a strong defense. I think they will make a run for the Division, but to do that they will have to beat the Packers and Lions up. Bears are improved also, cant overlook them either. Win the Division battles and play great at home and do .500 or better on the road = playoffs.
the NFC NORTH looks likes its going to be a dog fight Green Bay will be good, but the Lions looked to be greatly improved the Vikings look to bounce back and I too think the Bears will be better than most people think,i do believe the Vikings have a real chance at wining the Divison no easy outs here!

Zimmer hopes to return to coaching in early June Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer will be back in Minnesota next weekend, and hopes to start coaching soon after. He told reporters as much on Friday, saying that he has a doctor's appointment on June 5 where he hopes to receive a clean bill of health, per the Star Tribune. Zimmer recently had an eighth surgery on his right eye, which began troubling him in late October and forced him to miss a game in early December. The coach is currently on a brief leave of absence from the club. "I don't want to go blind in this eye, if that's what it is, that's what it is," Zimmer said, via the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "This will not keep me from coaching."
Mike Zimmer: Bridgewater progressing as well as could be?expected Vikings coach Mike Zimmer wasn?t at the team?s Organized Team Activities this week, but quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was in attendance and, as seen in a video posted on the Vikings website, working on the field. General Manager Rick Spielman noted that Bridgewater has not been fully cleared after last year?s knee injury and that there are plenty on unknowns about how things will play out from here, but the video provided some optimism about Bridgewater?s ability to return to action. Zimmer, whose plans to return to the team after eye surgery were announced on Friday, counted himself among those pleased by what they saw when asked about Bridgewater in a conference call. ?I saw that tape, too,? Zimmer said, via ESPN.com. ?He?s throwing the ball well. He?s got good velocity, accurate. He?s working his rear end off. It just makes you proud for him. He?s still got a long ways to go. But he?s progressing as well as anybody could expect, I would think.? The Vikings have been guarded about discussing any kind of timeline for Bridgewater?s recovery and they?ll likely remain that way until there?s enough evidence that talking a return to action has moved from?an optimistic thought to a realistic one. This week felt like a step toward that point and the quarterback will be watched closely the rest of the offseason for others. (PFT)
i really do hope the best for Zimmer that's eight eye surgery's that's alot,Teddy just take your time and get healthy
Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon is ready to take on Latavius Murray and Dalvin Cook. "Don't count me out," McKinnon told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "That's always my goal [to start]. I'm competitive. I think it will be a good way to evaluate myself and see where I stack up against them." Seemingly the odd man out, McKinnon does at least bring a knowledge of the system, which could help him get a leg up on Cook, the team's rookie second-round pick out of Florida State. Last year, he set a career high with 539 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The piece, essentially a hype trailer for McKinnon's upcoming season with quotes from his personal trainer, details some of the standard offseason tropes -- 11 pounds of muscle gain, faster than ever, healthier than ever -- and also a secret training regimen that his trainer, James Cooper, will not reveal. "I can't get into specifics, because a fighter can't tell his game plan for the world to know it or else it wouldn't be a good game plan," Cooper said. So there you have it. Even though the Vikings' depth chart seems settled right now, there is at least one wild card working to alter perception. (NFL.com)
