why are the Chargers players getting hurt is it the turf i don't think so,cause the Vikings players are not getting hurt
Of all the uninspiring options to deal with a lousy situation, I think the Vikes did as best they could by acquiring Sam Bradford.
i agree with that cause Shaun Hill looked like a deer caught in the headlights,it is a lousy situation
In a stunning move that thrusts the Vikings right back into the NFC North arms race, Minnesota executed a blockbuster trade for Eagles quarterback and former No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford on Saturday, the Eagles announced. The Vikings gave up a first-round pick in 2017 and a fourth-round pick in 2018 -- a massive price to pay for what could amount to one season of work. The news was first reported by ESPN and, oddly enough, mentioned in a deleted tweet by Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips earlier on Saturday morning. The deal was in the works for a few days, Rapoport said on NFL Network. After Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went down with a gruesome dislocated knee injury and torn ACL on Tuesday, the team began a search for an adequate replacement. The Vikings won the division last year with Bridgewater throwing just 14 touchdown passes -- the hope is that Bradford can hold the fort down and manage games in a similar way. He is currently in the first year of a two-year deal worth $36 million, which could give the Vikings an option in 2017 if Bridgewater's recovery timetable lengthens. Bradford's departure from Philadelphia and arrival in Minneapolis leaves a stunning ripple effect throughout the league. We may be looking at No. 2 overall pick Carson Wentz starting sooner than 2017. The Eagles will likely roll with longtime Andy Reid backup Chase Daniel on opening day against the Browns. Bradford is once again teaming up with Adrian Peterson, just like he did at the University of Oklahoma. Back then, Bradford was looked at as one of the purest quarterback prospects in football. The Vikings are hoping to recapture some of that magic as they take advantage of their current roster window.
A 1st & a 4th is a bit steep, but Minnesota is positioned to take their (soft) division. They had to get a real QB under center.
Maybe now than can compete with the never do wrong highly touted Green Bay Packers. Man this is good news in my opinion... my hopes have been revitalized.
I've got nothing really for or against any of the four teams* in the NFCN. In general I respect all teams in the historic black & blue division. What I feel good about is that Vikings fans can feel good about their team again. There were a lot of things pointing to a special season in MN. Teddy's injury was a massive whack, and while I do not think Sam will step in and replicate what was expected from the position, he should do alright. I expect that on occasion he'll show flashes for why he was once a #1 overall pick. (* My cat is a BIG Lions fan, but what do you expect from a dumb-ass cat?)
man that 1st in 2017 and a 4th in 2018 ouch i have one worry when he was with the Rams he was always hurt...i hope he stay on the field cause that's a hellva price to pay if he gets hurt
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ? The Minnesota Vikings have let go of three of their eight draft picks, waiving guard Willie Beavers, wide receiver Moritz Bohringer and defensive end Stephen Weatherly in the process of setting the roster for the regular season. Quarterbacks Joel Stave and Brad Sorensen were among the 20 cuts made Saturday by the Vikings, who also sent their 2017 first-round draft pick and a 2018 fourth-round selection to the Philadelphia Eagles for Sam Bradford. With Teddy Bridgewater on injured reserve and Taylor Heinicke on the non-football injury list, the Vikings have only two quarterbacks for now with Shaun Hill and Bradford. Beavers was taken in the fourth round out of Western Michigan. Bohringer became the first player in NFL history drafted straight from Europe. Weatherly was a seventh-round pick via Vanderbilt.
they really did not give Bohringer a chance i wanted to see what did he have?,i'm very nervous about Bradford the O-line is under construction and he's not a mobile qb i just keep thinking about the heavy price...this guy better not get hurt are we looking at another boneheaded move by ricky Ponder keeps coming up
