that's real nice...how the sun light comes across the field is really something and with those big azz doors it should be amazing
AP is getting bored huh...i think its just offseason talk and the dreary days of training camp coming up,he gets paid to much money to be getting tired of football when to its time to play he'll be ready and its time for Ricky to start looking for AP replacement cause he can't play FOREVER !
I think Peterson would just like to get this party started. He's probably chomping at the bit to get it going with this new look, quite impressive football team. Although, I agree... when your a multi-millionaire, just suck it up and do your thing. I wish i would have gotten paid to play and practice football. Beats the hell outa working in the factory's. lol.
Vikings' B?hringer already eager to get back to work When Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer canceled the last session of minicamp as a reward for the team's offseason work, most players were surprised and delighted by the early start on summer vacation. Moritz B?hringer wasn't so sure. "I wanted to practice," B?hringer said, smiling wryly, "because it's always good to get some more reps." Nobody on the 90-man roster needs more training than B?hringer, the rookie wide receiver from Germany who became the first draft pick in the history of the NFL to come directly from a country outside the United States. His deficiencies haven't been for a lack of dedication, though. This is simply the situation he's in, having discovered the sport about five years ago through YouTube videos of Vikings running back Adrian Peterson. He has played competitively for merely three seasons at a level nowhere near as sophisticated or intense as the league is entering. "He's starting from way, way, way behind," offensive coordinator Norv Turner said. For the Schwabisch Hall Unicorns in 2015, B?hringer had 16 touchdown receptions and an average of 20.9 yards per catch in 21 games on his way to the German Football League's rookie of the year award. The Unicorns only ran 70 or 80 plays out of five or six formations, paling in comparison to the complexity of Turner's playbook with the Vikings. Naturally, B?hringer's helmet has been spinning this spring in his attempt to grasp the route concepts, blocking responsibilities and advanced footwork technique required to excel at his highly skilled position. He threw up on the field during his first practice in Minnesota, last month at rookie minicamp. Throughout the workouts with the full team over the past three-plus weeks, B?hringer has dropped plenty of passes. "Most of the time it's a mental thing, because I'm not 100 percent comfortable with the playbook," B?hringer said Thursday after the Vikings wrapped up their offseason program and adjourned for six weeks until training camp. "But I think it'll come after time." The Vikings have raved about the 22-year-old's acuity, despite his inexperience. General manager Rick Spielman declared B?hringer "off-the-charts smart," fully confident he can grasp the intricacies of American football with time. "You want to start at the grassroots and work your way up, and we've been doing that with him. He's extremely intelligent, so he catches onto things pretty well," wide receivers coach George Stewart said. "He understands exactly what I'm trying to communicate to him. He has a great understanding of the language." (Fox Sports)
what is with this non-stop Teddy Bridgewater talk that he's not good enough all he does is win...i'm very confused by the talk of his side arm throwing motion i'm just dumbfounded here, you can have a qb with a perfect throwing motion but he can't win sh$t
People still picking the Vikings to finish 2nd behind the Pack... I cant wait to see Minnesota kick their asses on the gridiron!
again with the no respect the Vikings are NFC NORTH CHAMPS they are the team to beat, the BEARS are scary i think there going to be alot better the LIONS just have to wait and see what they put on the field
I dont know why with after last season Minnesota doesnt get more respect. The Vikings are even going to be better and im not real sure Green Bay has done anything significant to improve themselves. Those 'Talkin' Heads' can follow the Pack around all they want. The proof will be on the football field.
A lot of it is the zero faith factor in Bridgewater. He has to prove he can efficiently run the offense and win games when the Vikings are down in the 4th quarter. Teddy is a smart quarterback with accuracy. Once he has the offense down cold he is going to systematically work down the field with high completion numbers. The issue will be when Minnesota needs big chunks to come back quick. That's why they will have to invest in play-makers in the passing game for Teddy to succeed in that area. A lethal threat at TE would be the perfect compliment to a quarterback that makes his living with the short and intermediate.
Well said and I agree. I think thats why I have been hearing reports that at practice, Teddy is firing the football all over the place and working on his passing game. If the receivers get a handle on the ball early and the Vikings get out front early I think this is their key to success. Playing catchup is not their strong point , getting the lead early and having a shutdown defense and a grind it out running game is going to be their bread and butter. I sure hope the rookie class 'catches' on early and man o man if they had a elaborate TE that would sure help. Im still thinking Kyle can get the job done from the TE position, he just must stay healthy. _________________________________________ I think we really will see a more mobile and willing to chuck one up guy in Bridgewater this season. If not, its going to be a lot of 3-6point nailbiters throughout the season and that in itself will wear down my nerves.
lol, this is the main reason I love watching almost any sport. The stress of close contests, seconds that seem like minutes and minutes that seem like hours. I agree with your take on what would best serve this offense. The Vikings can win a lot of games with 3 touchdowns and a field goal (two touchdowns, two field goals) because of Zim's D. I think Bridgewater can become a hyper efficient quarterback and put in workmanlike performances on a weekly basis to get the Vikings into division contention on the regular. I like Rudolph as a red zone target, but getting someone that can rip past an LB at the line of scrimmage and dart for a quick 7 yard gain with the potential to break it for more would make things so much easier on the outside receivers. There's not a whole lot in free agency for 2017 (Larry Donnell will probably be available) but in 2018 if the Vikings are still looking for the answer then they should seriously consider ponying up a decent contract for Niles Paul.
i will say it one more time....its time to take the step up to become an elite football team,BTW have a happy 4 of July
i have looked at Larry Donnell he's a hand catcher and would be a nice endzone target for Teddy....still waiting on MyCole Pruitt to see what you got
