Adrian Peterson: Vikings can 'win everything' in 2016 The Minnesota Vikings were a missed chip-shot field goal from winning a playoff game over NFC powerhouse Seattle Seahawks. Adrian Peterson believes in 2016 the Vikes can not only win that playoff game, but much, much more. "We are going to have a good chance to win it this year -- win everything," the running back told The MMQB's Peter King. "Sit back and watch. Sit back and watch. You can be like, 'I thought you guys were at least a couple of years away.' Nope. You sit back and watch, this year." Not everyone will be shocked if the Vikings make a leap from good to great in 2016. The biggest question marks for Mike Zimmer's squad sit on offense -- the defense is flying under the radar as one of the best in the NFL. Minnesota spent its offseason attempting to plug holes on its sieve of an offensive line. Much of the Vikings' success will hinge on how the additions of Alex Boone and Andre Smith solidify the front. Teddy Bridgewater remains a work in progress. The quarterback didn't make as big a leap in Year 2 as we expected. The offensive line troubles were a part of that problem -- Bridgewater was under pressure as much as any quarterback last season. Adding Laquon Treadwell should also provide Bridgewater a much-needed big-bodied target. While Teddy's improvement is vital to making noise deep in January, the Vikes' offense should continue to lean on Peterson to carry the load. The 2015 rushing leader's focus is first on Super Bowls. "I don't spend too much time thinking about (winning another rushing title)," Peterson said. "But it's a seed planted in my brain, and it's sticking there. Everything in me is championship, championship and then breaking records. It's a part of me. I am pushing myself to the max to win a Super Bowl, and then to break Emmitt (Smith's) record and Eric Dickerson's (single-season rushing) record. It is my everyday life, what I think of every day. Mostly it's that Super Bowl. Then the whole world will remember you."
lets hope this winning mind set is contagious....a winning frame of mind is what the Vikings have been missing for a long time, for to long its been so so ( to have a mind set that you want two be the best is a GOOD THING ) AP playing till 40 c'mon laughing stranger things have happened though so you never know
When Moritz Boehringer takes the field for the Vikings this preseason, his jersey is going to look slightly different than the rest of the jerseys on the field. The NFL is allowing him to put an umlaut on his uniform. The Vikings announced on Wednesday that Boehringer will now be B?hringer.
how the heck do you pronounce his name we will find out...glad the Vikings draft picks are all signed,so there won't be any drama
what AP said about Teddy Bridgewater and Tom Brady who the hell cares, you take a pinch of salt throw it over your shoulder when and if Teddy wins a couple of SB's all the AP talk right now it means nothing.....its funny how many people have their drawers and panties all twisted up laughing ( but its nice to see that you want your teamate to do well....didn't see or hear this kinda talk with Ponder man those were painful times )
not a Tom Brady fan but he is just an elite QB..and Teddy and the Vikings are becoming an elite team.....the Vikings have no shot at winning the NFC NORTH so they the talking heads do they really think its going to be the Green Bay Packers, what is with this neverending disrespect of the Vikings Bears Lions ?
People need something to talk/write about, so they take something like that and run with it. AP was paying respect and pumping up his QB... lots of team mates do that. Some took offense to it, more than likely Packers and fans of anybody but the Vikings. It sure has been and still is a Packers love affair in the media. Why, I dont know. I think they are trending downward and really arnt the scary powerhouse they once were. The Vikings are an up and coming team and the Packers Nation is worried. Why the 'Talkin Heads' have such a 'love' for Green Bay is beyond my comprehension. Im one for less talk and more action. When the Pack and the Vikes get together, it will be proven on the field who is the better football team. I think if the Vikings continue improving and especially winning, more and more people are going to jump un their bandwagon. Its time for a change in the North/Norse...
i really hope i get a chance to go to US BANK Stadium, that light show looked pretty awesome bet the inside gonna look amazing...but i think getting a ticket to a Vikings game this year is gonna be tough....THE LIGHTS WERE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Getting a ticket now might be next to impossible, lol. It sure is a remarkable stadium. Cant wait for the season.
Bridgewater: Laquon Treadwell will be 'big' for Vikings he Vikings have used a majority of their draft picks over the past three seasons to bolster the back end of their defense and offensive line. But the 2016 draft represented the second time in the past four years that Minnesota brass have taken a big swing at something the team has been sorely missing: a legitimate playmaking wide receiver on the outside. With Cordarrelle Patterson seemingly on the outs -- the team declined to pick up his fifth-year option -- all eyes are on Ole Miss product Laquon Treadwell. Treadwell was believed by some to be the top receiver available in the NFL draft but ended up sliding to No. 23 overall, which put him behind Corey Coleman (Browns), Will Fuller (Texans) and Josh Doctson (Redskins). Very early reviews from quarterback Teddy Bridgewater are in. And after two practices, the reviews are positive. "He's going to be big for this team," Bridgewater told Vikings.com. "There's a reason that we drafted him in the first round. He added: "He's been here with us for two days now, and he's been looking good. I'm not qualified to judge players and things like that, but from what I've been seeing, I've been pretty impressed." While most anything said during this time of year following padless practices is meaningless, this is worth keeping an eye on. The development of Patterson won't fall on Bridgewater's shoulders but Treadwell's might. Bridgewater has matured to the point where he should be able to command Minnesota's offense and elevate the play of complementary pieces around him. Bridgewater won't be able to tell how easy that will be after two days, but Minnesota is hoping they don't swing and miss on this one. (NFL.com)
i want Treadwell to be the endzone target that Teddy so badly needs, its time to take the next step up and more TD's and less FG's....this Jhurell Pressley looks interesting a crazy made up name
The first thing you need to do is find a decent vikes helmet picture from the web and save it to your computer/pictures. Once you have done that, click on profile on the top of the page and then when you are there, click on avatar. When you click on 'choose file' a box from your pc will appear which has all your pc pictures. Double click the Vikings helmet and then push the 'update' tab on that page and you should be good to go. _____________________________________________________ If Tim reads this and has a Vikings helmet, Badd_Man would like one , lol. _______________________________________________________________ Any questions Badd_man, post them here . I would like to see you rock a Vikings helmet.
Just want to add to Will's reply that you needed to be sure your saved pic. is sized properly. I'm not sure of the specs permitted. BTW, I'd like to suggest the French Connection statue as a bang up avatar for any and for all. Then again, that's me.
Kentrell Brothers out of Missouri he kind of reminds me of Ed McDaniel,he wasn't that tall but he was a damn tough football player,i think he can be the middle linebacker Eric Kendricks can play the outside linebacker
Jhurell Pressley he's like another Jerick McKinnon...i hope ricky keeps an eye on Florida State rb Dalvin Cook cause the Vikings are gonna need another workhouse rb
