has Mike Mayock struck again lol...so it looks ok so far you can see the O-line getting younger,i bet AP got to be thinking where was this winning mind set before this wr from Germany ( sp ) never heard of him
i think the Vikings did ok in the draft will Mackensie wind up replacing the captain....all the Teddy haters i just don't understand it what did he do to them ?,we will see what he can do when he has some protection
the one player that got away is Miles Killabrew (bad spelling here ) safety he's a hard hitting bad MF a Zimmer type of guy
all this talk about the way Teddy passes the ball,is starting to piss me off what do they except from this guy getting sick and tired of Teddy can't do this or that, all he has done so far is win...in college and pro ball what the future holds nobody knows BUT SO FAR SO GOOD!
I think the last thing they want to do is cause Teddy to change mechanics in a drastic measure... maybe he wants or needs to tweak things, but i dont think thats the issue. Teddy needs targets to go up and get the ball and hull it in. People been speaking critically of him since the draft and i dont get it. Teddy will have the last say. He will prove himself on the field.
Vikings exercise fifth-year options for Floyd, Rhodes Sharrif Floyd and Xavier Rhodes secured their short-term futures with the Minnesota Vikings after the team picked up their fifth-year options on Monday. _________________________________________________________________ The Minnesota Vikings have exercised their fifth-year options for 2013 first-round picks Sharrif Floyd and Xavier Rhodes. Floyd has been a steady presence on the Vikings' defensive line, and racked up 34 combined tackles and 2.5 sacks in 2015. Rhodes was Minnesota's top cornerback last season, logging a combined 55 tackles and one interception. The duo contributed to one of the league's top defensive units last season, as the Vikings allowed just 18.9 points per-game in 2015, good enough for fifth in the league. Noticeably absent from the list is the Vikings' third first-rounder in 2013: receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, who picked up just two receptions for 10 yards, as well as 15 rushing yards, last season.
Former Badgers QB Stave signs with Vikings as undrafted free agent Former Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Joel Stave was not selected in this year's NFL Draft, but he quickly found a home after the conclusion of the yearly player selection. A source confirmed to FOXSportsWisconsin.com that Stave is signing as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings. It is a potentially good situation for Wisconsin's second all-time leading passer. The Vikings have Teddy Bridgewater as the starter and veteran Shaun Hill as the backup. The No. 3 QB is Tyler Heinicke, who is entering just his second season and, like Stave, went undrafted. Following his senior season at Wisconsin, Stave played in the East-West Shrine Game and was invited to the NFL Combine. He visited New England and had a separate workout with the Patriots as well as Arizona. But Stave said throughout the process of the Shrine Game, combine and Pro Day, he talked with nearly every team and expected that if he wasn't drafted he'd have several teams interested in signing him. Stave was 31-10 as a starter at Wisconsin, the school's all-time winningest quarterback, throwing for 7,635 yards and 48 touchdowns. (FOX)
Vikings decline 5th-year option on WR Cordarrelle Patterson MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ? The Minnesota Vikings have spent about a year sending gifted but flighty receiver and kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson messages that he needs to buckle down and come to training camp prepared to earn a spot. They sent their loudest message yet on Monday. The Vikings declined to pick up the fifth-year option on Patterson's rookie contract, casting his future with the team into doubt. On the same day the Vikings exercised the options for defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd and cornerback Xavier Rhodes ? the other two members of the Vikings first-round class in 2013 ? the team preferred not to commit to the $7.9 million Patterson would have been due in 2017. The Vikings also signed sixth-round draft choice Moritz Boehringer to his rookie deal, making him the first pick of the 2016 class to sign a contract. The team also announced the signing of 10 undrafted free agents, including two area prospects: Minnesota defensive end Theiren Cockran and Wisconsin quarterback Joel Stave. Patterson was an All-Pro kick returner as a rookie and has continued to be a threat in that spot in his first three seasons in the league. But his development as a receiver has been much slower to come. He only caught two passes last season and was used as a decoy or blocker in the few offensive snaps he did get. The 22-year-old Boehringer is from Germany, making him the first player in league history to be drafted straight from Europe. Cockran had 15? sacks in his career for the Gophers. Stave went 31-10 as a starter for the Badgers, making him the program's all-time winningest quarterback. In addition to Cockran and Stave, the Vikings also signed Marshall cornerback Keith Baxter, Penn State tight end Kyle Carter, Georgia linebacker Jake Ganus, Massachusetts wide receiver Marken Michel, Florida International defensive end Denzell Perine, New Mexico running back Jhurell Pressley, Kentucky State cornerback Eric Rawls and Maryland running back Brandon Ross as undrafted free agents. _________________________ __________________________________________________________ So long, CP. So much for waiting for the breakout season. Watch... he'll be great on another team. Seen that before.
