they got to make him part of the game plan....and not just on the kick-off he has his ups and downs to much talent here to waste
Patterson and Sheryls were a nice 1 2 punch on the return game. I hope Patterson gets more involved as a wide receiver. He should kill it at yards after the catch and he has great break-away speed.
i never realized how important this guy is,i'm glad he's back he was missed on the O-line Ricky this needs to taken care of ASAP...what about Loadholt will he be ready to play he was missed to
As best I know, Loadholt and Sullivan are both re-habing with the Vikings. Loadholts return is still questionable and Sullivan thinks he can play. So, good question. I will follow their situations and report on it when stuff becomes available.
Loadholt is looking like a cap hit casualty $7.75 million..its looking like his day as a Vikings player might be over the O-line needs to get better and younger and gel with Teddy Bridgewater
This Adrian Peterson stat will make you realize how great he is When it's all said and done, Adrian Peterson will probably go down as a top-10 running back, if not one of the five best. His 11,675 career rushing yards are 17th all-time and he's seemingly got plenty of gas left in the tank. After sitting out most of the 2014 season, Peterson returned in 2015 to pick up right where he left off. Not only did he lead the NFL in carries with 327, but he also had the most rushing yards (1,485) and tied for the league lead with 11 touchdowns on the ground. While those numbers are obviously staggering after essentially taking a year off, this one particular statistic will put into perspective how outstanding he is. In his career, Peterson has racked up 7,339 yards after contact. Incredibly, that number would put him ninth among active running backs in total rushing yards. While it probably doesn't need to be said, that's ridiculous. Arian Foster, Jamaal Charles and DeMarco Murray all have fewer career rushing yards than Peterson has yards after contact. "All Day" has always been known for his tackle-breaking ability, but that number makes it even more evident. There's little doubt he's the best running back in the game right now. It's just a matter of him staying healthy and continuing to dominate the position for another five years. (FOXSPORTS) _____________________ __________________________________ Its amazing when you stop to think about it. He's been a human pin ball. He's made a lot of yardage out of nothing.
7,339 after contact is a very impressive number, after tearing up his knee came back as one tough person sitting out a year was like yeah he said what about it,his being so durable is truly amazing about him ( Jared Allen played in the SB WTF )
Kalil Deadline Rapidly Approaching For Minnesota Vikings Now, there's absolutely no doubt that the Vikings will work out some sort of extension with Smith. . .and likely a very lucrative one at that. But the bigger question mark is Kalil, and the Vikings are going to have to answer that question sooner rather than later. Because of the way the fifth-year option works, the Vikings could release Kalil without any negative effects on their salary cap, and save themselves a little over $11 million in cap space. However, if the Vikings have not released Kalil or worked out some sort of an extension for him at a lower salary figure by the time the new league year starts on 9 March, every penny of Kalil's $11,096,000 salary cap figure for the 2016 season becomes guaranteed. Kalil did perform better in 2015 than he did in 2014, but that merely raised the level of his play from "Good lord, he's awful" to "well, sometimes he's not bad." I'm not sure if the Vikings are going to want to give $11 million to someone for being "not bad." Kalil has the second-highest salary cap number on the team going into the 2016 season (behind only receiver Mike Wallace, who also doesn't figure to be long for the Vikings at that figure), and if the team isn't convinced that Kalil can return to his Pro Bowl rookie form, they may move on and take a run at someone in free agency. They could also go after someone at the position in the 2016 NFL Draft, as losing their starting left tackle would push that position immediately to the top of their priority list. The fate of right tackle Phil Loadholt may also be tied to what the Vikings do with Kalil, according to Matt Vensel of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Loadholt has a salary cap figure of $7.75 million and is coming off of his second season-ending injury in two years. According to Vensel, the Vikings might bring back either Kalil or Loadholt for 2016, but it's highly unlikely that they'll bring back both. If they did, they'd be spending nearly $19 million on a pair of tackles that, to put it mildly, are significant question marks going into the 2016 season. The Vikings have a lot of questions to answer along their offensive line, which is one of the weakest spots on the roster. We may start getting the answers to some of those questions in the very near future. (Daily Norseman) ___________________________________________________________________________________ Wouldnt surprise me to see both Kalil and Loadholt get sent packing.
wow let Kalil and his 11 million is just to much money for someone's that's not very good..hey its time for a redo on the O-line send Loadholt and Kalil go and lets not forget Fusco and Sullivan ( SP ) cause he's always getting hurt
2016 Minnesota Vikings Opponents Home - Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Dallas, NY Giants, Houston, Indianapolis, Arizona Away - Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Philadelphia, Washington, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Carolina
there home schedule looks tough, the Vikings first pick is a wr really why not an O-line man as much as they need a LT a Center is a must! they have pretty good wideouts so its kinda hard to understand, its going to be a long wait to the draft to see what the Vikings will do
They just might go defense again in the 1st round. I think a lot will depend on who is on the big board. A WR would be nice, but a DB might make more sense. O-line needs addressed too. Im not sure and maybe they wont know until things unfold.
New Vikings stadium nearly completed MINNEAPOLIS -- The new home of the Minnesota Vikings is about 90 percent done. Work on U.S. Bank Stadium is headed toward completion this summer, with a grand opening of the $1 billion-plus project scheduled for the first week in August. Team, stadium and construction officials led reporters on a tour Tuesday, revealing about two-thirds of the 65,000 purple seats installed and much of the space finished in the six club areas. The Vikings locker room will be put together in the coming weeks. The five, large pivoting glass doors on the building's front will be tested in April. The artificial turf will be laid in May. The Vikings will play their first game there in August.
Vikings GM: Indoor stadium could lead to Bridgewater's breakout Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater played his first two seasons as a professional in an outdoor venue, TCF Bank Stadium. In 2016, however, the team plans to move back indoors and play home games at the new U.S. Bank Stadium. Vikings general manager Rick Spielman told PFT Live that he believes the switch could help Bridgewater enjoy a breakout season. Via ESPN's Andrew Krammer: I think it?s just in general, quarterbacks playing indoors [play better]. If you look at Teddy?s stats and how he performed when we were indoors, in Detroit or even out in Arizona, some of those ideal conditions, we feel he can take another step forward. But he still has to play outdoors. Bridegwater has played 24 outdoor games in his NFL career, according to ESPN, and has completed 63.6 percent of his pass attempts for averages of 6.6 yards per attempt and 202 yards per game. In a decidedly smaller indoor sample size (five games), his completion percentage swells to 70.6 and his averages rise to 8.1 yards per attempt and 258 yards per game. With Bridgewater already on the rise, the move from TCF Bank to U.S. Bank could help him take the Vikings to the next level.
i have to agree a SS makes alot of sense the O-line is a weak spot so is the Defensive back field i'm going to see who they might get,ive got to go to US Bank Stadium it looks pretty awesome
