I have looked at some of highlights of Tai Felton he's faster than looks and good hands, if I'm Jalen Nailor i would be a little nervous
I saw highlights Tre Stewart he's a big fast man the guy looks freakin awesome looks like the Vikings might have found a diamond in the rough ĥe from Jackson State Gamecocks he looks really fast and very powerful
1,638 yards and 25 touchdowns on 278 carries (5.9 YPC) in addition to 18 receptions for 234 yards and a score... all in 1 season. How do you run for 25 TD's in a season? dang. He could get a depth job right away and who knows, maybe he has a future in Minnesota.
If they coach him up hate to say it he could be a threat to Ty Chandler just from the highlights Tre Stewart red zone threat
Kevin O'Connell explains why Vikings haven't named J.J. McCarthy the starter The Minnesota Vikings haven't named J.J. McCarthy the starting quarterback yet, but Kevin O'Connell is telling fans not to overreact to that. O'Connell appeared on Kay Adams' podcast Up & Adams this week and answered questions about his 2024 first-round pick. Although some may read too far into McCarthy not officially being named the team's starter, O'Connell said it's too early to draw any conclusions on the quarterback. We can’t even line up defensive players from our own team against him yet, so we really don’t have a need to have anything more than just development time, learning time, teaching phase for our team. Trust me, J.J. is going to get all of the prerequisite work for us to come out of the spring, and feel great about where he’s at and headed into training camp. O'Connell may be right in that there's no reason to overreact to this right now. But McCarthy will act as the team's starter when OTAs and mandatory minicamp begin. He held a press conference with reporters this week and has been talked about glowingly by coaches and GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah this offseason. It's much like the "couple" that isn't a "couple" yet. They're always together, going on dates and holding hands, without the social media post announcing their relationship being official. McCarthy will be the team's starter. He's just waiting for O'Connell to officially share it with the world. VIKINGSWIRE
It will hurt but the Vikings knew this might happen know we will see the run game and JJ McCarthy we will if can cut it the new and improved defense it will be INTERESTING
When i think about the Vikings 2025 schedule, its pretty tough... has to be one of the toughest in the NFL. Besides 2 against the Packers, Bears and Lions, the Vikings drew the Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Chargers, Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders outside their division. When I noticed this, I said to my self, 'oh my'. Oddsmakers have picked Minnesota to win 8.5, a 500 football team basically. I doubt the oddsmakers had them winning 14 last season for what thats worth.
I'm not all that surprised The NFL just loves to kick the Vikings in the mouth well then ok NFL ɓrin̈g it on i ain't scared laughing but it does look damn tough and hope that injury bug stays far away PURPLE POWER
Here's a thought. If Darnold could manage 14 wins with this Vikings squad, a healthy McCarthy, imo, will be even better, and on top of that the o-line is better and the defense is better. Maybe the Vikings will defy all odds.
It's nothing new JJ McCarthy just stay well Sam Darnold do your best and t when tĥe pressure is on as a Seahawks calm the hell down oh BTW love the purple shades

Vikings sign GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah to multiyear extension EAGAN, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings announced a new contract Friday for general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah nearly five months after signing coach Kevin O'Connell to a new deal, moves that have locked up their football leadership group for the near future. The two each signed four-year contracts when they first arrived in Minnesota in 2022. O'Connell's new deal is for five years, but it was not immediately clear whether the contract Adofo-Mensah signed this week matches that duration. ESPN previously reported that O'Connell's deal did not include any changes in personnel authority, meaning Adofo-Mensah will remain the team's top decision-maker. As part of Friday's news, the Vikings also confirmed that two of Adofo-Mensah's top lieutenants, Ryan Grigson and Demitrius Washington, were given the new titles of assistant general manager. In a statement, team owner/president Mark Wilf said: "Kwesi's leadership, vision and collaboration with our coaching staff has positioned the Minnesota Vikings for sustained success. His dedication and forward-thinking approach have been instrumental in shaping our roster and future, and we are confident that under the guidance of him and Kevin O'Connell, we will continue to compete at the highest level as we pursue a championship for Vikings fans." The Vikings have the NFL's sixth-best regular-season winning percentage (.667) since Adofo-Mensah and O'Connell were hired, with two playoff appearances. But Adofo-Mensah's drafts have been among the NFL's least productive over his tenure, requiring the team to compensate with extensive forays into free agency and the trade market. The Vikings have received only 107 starts from players they have drafted since 2022, the NFL's second-lowest total over that time frame, according to ESPN Research. ESPN
Good I'm glad they got this done no more of the KOC going to some other team and kicking Kwesi to the curb, chaos in the FO is something the Vikings do not need
A legend of football and a Buckeye great passed away on Tuesday. Former defensive end Jim Marshall, known as the NFL's Ironman and one of the famed Purple People Eaters for the Minnesota Vikings, died at the age of 87 on Tuesday after a long hospitalization. "The entire Minnesota Vikings organization is mourning the loss of Jim Marshall," Vikings owner Mark Wilf and their ownership group said in a statement. "No player in Vikings history lived the ideals of toughness, camaraderie and passion more than the all-time iron man. A cornerstone of the franchise from the beginning, Captain Jim's unmatched durability and quiet leadership earned the respect of teammates and opponents throughout his 20-year career. Jim led by example, and there was no finer example for others to follow. His impact on the Vikings was felt long after he left the field. Jim will always be remembered as a tremendous player and person." A member of Ohio State's 1957 national championship team, Marshall was named second-team All-Big Ten in both 1957 and 1958 and a third-team All-American in 1958. Marshall's 270 consecutive starts stood as the league record for more than 30 years before it was broken by quarterback Brett Favre in 2008. A two-time Pro Bowler, Marshall racked up an unofficial 130.5 sacks during his 20-year career, the final 19 of which were with the Vikings after the Cleveland Browns traded him following his rookie year. It was a decision Browns brass likely regretted. Marshall won the 1969 NFL Championship and made four Super Bowl appearances with the Vikings, though the Purple and Gold came up short in each game. Two Hall of Famers joined him on the famed Purple People Eaters defensive line, Alan Page and Carl Eller, but the 14-time captain Marshall was their anchor. He's in Minnesota's Ring of Honor. And his No. 70 jersey is retired by the organization. Off the field, Marshall and former teammate Oscar Reed founded The Link, a charity that supports homeless youth, youth victimized by sex trafficking and youth in the juvenile justice system. The Link provides support to more than 2,000 Minnesota families each year.
