KOC he's a likeable person but he can be a little long winded imo but he is a damn good coach when Mike Zimmer left the Vikings they were a mess it just amazing the turnaround GO VIKINGS
The Rams game looks like a trap game after the Vikings emotional game against the Lions i just wonder how they will look this Thursday on Prime
The Vikings need a D-lineman a Matt Stafford trade makes no sense to me you already JJ McCarthy waiting in the wings Sam Darnold isn't that and a bag of chips but he seems good enough to keep the boat afloat, this would cause chaos imo
The Vikings will play one more game without tight end T.J. Hockenson. The team ruled Hockenson out for Thursday night’s game against the Rams, so he will not be making his 2024 debut. The plan is to activate Hockenson, who is returning from a knee injury, on Friday and have him in the lineup for their Week Nine game against the Colts. Guard Dalton Risner will also be waiting a little longer to be activated. He was downgraded along with Hockenson and will remain on injured reserve. The Vikings also announced that they have elevated defensive lineman Jalen Redmond and tight end Robert Tonyan from the practice squad on a temporary basis.
Christian Darrisaw suffered what appeared to be a potentially significant knee injury. Darrisaw gingerly walked off the field with trainers’ assistance and was ruled out early in the third quarter. After the game, head coach Kevin O’Connell said he did not have an update on the left tackle. “Christian Darrisaw did sustain a left knee injury,” O’Connell said. “But, we’ll continue that evaluation here and on into tomorrow and then try to confirm what that is. [We’re] keeping our fingers crossed that we get some positive news.” The Vikings inserted David Quessenberry at left tackle for the last play of the second quarter and he remained there for the second half. O’Connell admitted Darrisaw’s injury changed some of Minnesota’s offensive approach. “I think they’ve got some good young rushers and we were trying to do the best we could to make sure we were cognizant of that, with plays we were calling — maybe limiting the menu a little bit to try to get some help over there on the left side. Made a few plays,” O’Connell said. “I thought ‘Quess’ came in and battled. We’ll see what it looks like with CD and ultimately put together a good plan. Regardless of who’s out there, I’ve got a lot of confidence in our guys. But you lose a guy like CD in the middle of the game, game plan’s kind of rolling a little bit outside of the penalties at that point, and we felt it. “But, once again, no excuse. Next man up and we’ve got to roll.” Quarterback Sam Darnold echoed that sentiment when asked about losing Darrisaw after the game. “Yeah, obviously Christian’s a really good player,” Darnold said. “But I would say it’s the same thing [as] when Aaron [Jones] went out a couple games ago — for the next guy to be able to come in and do a great job, that’s what we always count on. We always expect the next guy to step up and do a great job. And I’m very confident in DQ to be able to do that.”
David Quessenberry sucks Rams D-line just pushed him around i hope the Darrisaw injury isn't bad Kwesi you better find a D-line that can apply pressure cause the D-backs are getting exposed
Christian Darrisaw needs season-ending knee surgery After Thursday night’s game, Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said the team was hoping for good news on left tackle Christian Darrisaw, who suffered a knee injury at the end of the second quarter. Unfortunately for Minnesota, the club did not get it on Friday. According to multiple reports, an MRI revealed Darrisaw needs season-ending knee surgery. Darrisaw went down after a run play, gingerly walking to the locker room with trainers assistance. The Vikings played David Quessenberry left tackle for the rest of Thursday’s game. “We’ll see what it looks like with CD and ultimately put together a good plan,” O’Connell said Thursday night. “Regardless of who’s out there, I’ve got a lot of confidence in our guys.” A first-round pick in 2021, Darrisaw agreed to a four-year contract extension with Minnesota in late July. He’s started 46 games over the last four seasons. PFT ______________ Well, somebody went down so somebody moves up and needs to step up. Thats what good football teams do.
Darrisaw is out for the year damn Sam Darnold and the Vikings are in trouble what's Kwesi going to do they need to find a D‐lineman bad!and a decent O-ĺineman bad!
What is Kwesi waiting on a D-lineman that can apply pressure cause D-backs are getting exposed how much more do you need to see.....this is a problem that's needs fixing has been for a while now
It's time to get an OC to calls the plays enough of the KOC 1st quarter stuff then they just shut it down i don't get it NO MORE MR NICE GUY why does it seem like the Vikings just wanna be good but not elite
Vikings acquire LT Cam Robinson in trade with Jaguars EAGAN, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars hae agreed to terms on a trade for left tackle Cam Robinson, adding a potential replacement for injured incumbent Christian Darrisaw. The trade is pending Robinson passing a physical. In addition to Robinson, the Vikings will receive a conditional 2026 seventh-round pick that can go away based on playing time, while the Jaguars will receive a conditional 2026 fifth-round selection that can become a fourth-rounder based on playing time. Robinson, 29, is in the final year of a contract that pays him $16.25 million this season. The Jaguars will pay a portion of the remainder of Robinson's salary, sources said. ESPN
Im glad this move was done quickly... Im not sure if he will be ready to go this Sunday, but it was a quick and decent move. Hopefully Robinson can stay healthy. Incidentally - PFF grades Robinson as the No. 32 tackle this season, making him the highest-rated Jaguars lineman. He has 91 career starts under his belt for the Jaguars.
All my life, Vikings kickers have killed us fans and the team, especially Gary Anderson... now we have Will the Thrill Reichard.
I like the Vikings fg Kicker,Blair Wash etc. used give me fits pretty confident he will make more than he misses GO VIKINGS
Cam Robinson i don't expect him to be another Darrisaw just play decent now get a D-lineman that can apply pressure they just can't afford to let defensive backs continuously get exposed
