Oh I was on the NFL.com website I had thought Lewis Cine was a member of the JETS but I was wrong he's on the Bills practice squad
he was with the Jets for 2 seconds... Instead of signing with the New York Jets' practice squad as initially reported, Cine is expected to ink a deal with the Buffalo Bills' practice squad, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Thursday, per sources informed of the situation.
Hockenson might be back as soon as week 5 after starting the season on the PUP, which is sooner than predicted. This came from The Athletic’s Alec Lewis. Apparently, Hockenson is already running and sprinting along the sidelines and working on 'changing direction' routes and is feeling great.
Interesting to see will he be the Hockenson that was bad azz or will it be something else hoping for the Hockenson before he got hurt
Its all on Bradbury... he better not get hurt because Feeny is the only true center behind him. If Garrett goes down, its going to be musical chairs on the o-line.
Justin Jefferson: Sam Darnold’s plays in practice will definitely transition to Sundays After J.J. McCarthy’s season-ending knee surgery, Sam Darnold is set to go through the 2024 season as Minnesota’s starting quarterback. That’s just fine with star receiver Justin Jefferson, who signed a record-breaking contract extension with the club during the offseason. In an interview with Ben Goessling of the Minnesota Star Tribune, Jefferson noted his confidence in Darnold since the two have been connecting throughout the summer — particularly in the red zone. “Those are the money-makers there,” Jefferson said. “That’s somewhere we’ve been struggling the previous year. The plays he’s making [in practices] are definitely going to transition to Sundays.” While Jefferson certainly had a connection with now-Falcons starting quarterback Kirk Cousins, he wants whoever is throwing him the ball now to have a greater sense of comfort that he will come down with it in any circumstance. ”It’s going to be different,” Jefferson said. “But I want it to be the same for them to have the confidence in me to go and make a play, just like Kirk did in those opportunities and those situations. I low-key want them to have more confidence than what Kirk had. Kirk is more comfortable in the system, [with] him running it early on in Washington. It’s just to give them an extra boost and extra confidence; I want to go up and make a play for them whenever they give me the chance.” “I just try to give the quarterbacks confidence to throw me those 50-50 jump balls,” Jefferson added. “Sometimes, it’s a little bit difficult for them to really just give me a chance, knowing I’m going to come down with it. It’s difficult trying to read the different schemes and their normal reads. But when I have that matchup or they see it’s that type of game, I always try to give them that word in the back of their head, that they have me as an option if things get ugly.” Jefferson, 25, has caught 392 passes for 5,899 yards with 30 touchdowns in his four seasons. Despite playing just 10 games last year, he finished with 68 catches, 1,074 yards, and five touchdowns. stolen from; PFT
Kicked in the Balls Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy says he’s doing his best to stay positive after a preseason meniscus tear will cause him to miss his entire rookie season. “It’s tough. It’s kind of a kick in the balls,” McCarthy said. “But you take everything life throws at you and find the positive, good or bad.” McCarthy said that he didn’t realize during during the preseason game when he suffered the injury that anything was wrong, and he’s still not sure exactly when in the game he tore his meniscus. Only the day after the game, when his knee started to buckle when walking downstairs, did it occur to him he needed to get the knee checked out. The Vikings had him do an exploratory surgery and told him when he woke up from the surgery he’d know how serious it was based on whether they had put his knee in a brace. He said he was “shocked” when he woke up with his knee braced and doctors told him it was a season-ending injury. Without having any chances on the field in 2024, McCarthy said he is trying his best to learn the Vikings’ offense and also learn everything that a quarterback does during the week to prepare mentally. He also said he has learned how supportive Vikings fans are. “I want to thank all the fans for all the love I’ve received for the last couple weeks,” McCarthy said. McCarthy will hope to give the fans something to cheer for on the field, but that won’t happen until 2025. PFT and me
Hey Baddman, lets hang on the NEWS & NOTES thread... click this link... NFL - NEWS & NOTES | Page 1507 | Forums (live4sportnetwork.com)
I did not realize the hate for the Vikings in the NFL I'm watching the ONE GIANT STEP Podcast oh man losing to the Vikings was one of the worst things,I'm wondering does every team feel like that towards the Vikings?
They're not really a popular pick by anyone, I didnt/dont have high hopes coming into this season myself. A win in New York is cool, but the Giants are not a good football team... we will find out more as the season unfolds. I am excited about the new additions and the way they shined yesterday tho... it gives a lot to look forward to.
Hopefully Addison isnt injured too seriously. Injury occurred to the opposite ankle he injured earlier which kept him off the practice field. Initial reports are that is doesnt appear serious, but that doesnt mean squat till he is examined by doctors.
Badd man I don’t think it’s so much losing to the Vikings that bothered them, but Sam Darnald beating them that really irks them. Darnold was a reject of the Jets which is their red headed step brother.
