The sixth and final pick of the Vikings' 2023 draft class has now become the sixth and final member of that group to sign their rookie contract. Running back DeWayne McBride, a seventh-round pick (No. 222 overall) out of UAB, has signed his rookie deal, meaning all of this year's Vikings draft picks are now officially under contract.
There is only one Kirko Chains all the copycats be dammed and Marcus Davenport ever heard of a haircut his hair was running wild laughing

Vikings fielding trade calls for Pro Bowl pass rusher Danielle Hunter The Vikings sent Za'Darius Smith to Cleveland last month, and they might not be finished making moves. Minnesota has been receiving calls regarding the availability of edge rusher Danielle Hunter, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday on Inside Minicamps on NFL+. Minnesota's decision to trade Smith to the Browns may have unintentionally signaled to the rest of the league that the Vikings are open for business, prompting some to inquire on Hunter. After enduring a neck injury that required season-ending surgery in 2020 and a torn pectoral in 2021, Hunter returned and made a statement in 2022, recording 10.5 sacks and earning a third trip to the Pro Bowl. In his seven NFL seasons, Hunter has recorded 71 sacks, 379 tackles (85 for loss) and seven forced fumbles, all logged with the Vikings. He's still only 28 years old, but is entering the final year of his existing contract and may not be in Minnesota's long-term plans, due in part to the fact the Vikings are facing a possible retooling of the roster that could include quarterback Kirk Cousins, who will still accounts for $28.5 million in cap space in 2024 even if he isn't on the roster. Simply, there just might not be enough money to keep everyone, and if the Vikings are interested in maximizing their return on Hunter while he still carries value, this summer is the time to do so. Where he'll land remains to be seen, but after the Vikings moved Smith via trade, Hunter could follow him out of the door in a trade made in the best long-term financial interest of the franchise. Is this what a rebuilding your team starting to lòòk like it maybe turning page this is what looks like
I hope Dalvin Cook does not go to the Dolphins or Bills would love see him go to the Cowboys and be the main man or Broncos could see him in Orange or Red with KC Chiefs he just might get a ring there
I swear these Vikings are tanking... But Jefferson and Hockenson, Kirk Cousins and Addison are going to give Kwesi some trouble in his efforts to blowup the team. Im starting to really dislike Kwesi and the Wilf's !
I don't trust him or understand him just where he's wants to take the Vikings in away he's starting to act like the enemy I also think the Wilfs are just fine being mediocre its looking like rebuilding to me I really had high hopes things different but nooooo it seems the same old same old ( sigh )
What's the holdup here is Kwesi-Adofo-Mensah trying make Justin Jefferson upset or Danielle Hunter and Capt Kirk can be cutthroat when it comes to contracts this is pure chaos it seems to me What's taking so long
Report: Danielle Hunter won’t attend Vikings minicamp The Vikings won’t have Dalvin Cook at this week’s mandatory minicamp and it looks like edge rusher Danielle Hunter won’t be there either. Cook was released last week, but Hunter remains under contract to the team so his absence would be a very different issue. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Hunter plans to skip the minicamp. Hunter is in the final year of his contract and is set to make $5.5 million this season. He has been looking for a new contract, but has not found any common ground with the Vikings this offseason. A report last week indicated teams have been calling with trade interest and a holdout from minicamp could help push the Vikings toward a decision to move Hunter to another club. Whether they’re interested in moving on without Hunter or not, the Vikings can fine Hunter for each day of mandatory work that he misses. PFT
Hunter and Za'Darius Smith were/are the Vikings best pass rushers, ones gone and the other may be soon. Kwesi is ruining this football team. Tired of the 'hey look at all the Cap Space we freed up', stuff too... big deal. Aint going to win with a 2-bit, cheapassed team.
Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson was back in uniform for Minnesota's mandatory minicamp on Tuesday after skipping voluntary organized team activities earlier this offseason. Jefferson added he'll be back for training camp, as well, regardless of whether a new contract has been worked out with the Vikings or not. "I had a lot of stuff going on," Jefferson told reporters regarding his absence from OTAs. "I mean they didn't really, you know, force (me) to come back too much. So, it didn't seem like I was missing too, too much. But they definitely wanted me back here. (I) wanted to be back here." Jefferson, the reigning Associated Press NFL Offensive Player of the Year, is coming off a season where he became the youngest player in NFL history to lead the league in receptions (128) and receiving yards (1,809) at just 23, and he's in line for an extension that should reset the market at WR after the club picked up his fifth-year option in April. According to Jefferson, though, the looming payday did not play "too much (of a) part" in his skipping the voluntary portion of Minnesota's offseason. And as for if he plans to attend training camp should he not receive a new contract before then? "Oh, yeah. Yeah," Jefferson told reporters. So, any consternation over him doing his own work away from the team in May and early June appears to be much ado about nothing. The star wideout is chugging right along, serving as a valuable figure on a team that's looking to build on a surprising 13-4 season despite recently parting ways with key veterans like running back Dalvin Cook, wide receiver Adam Thielen, linebacker Eric Kendricks and pass rusher Za'Darius Smith. "Yeah, I told him this morning, you can just tell when he's walking the halls in our building -- just the energy and the juice that he brings," head coach Kevin O'Connell said about the importance of Jefferson's presence, per the team transcript. "He was in great shape, moving around today like I expected him to be. Mentally still really sharp. I mean, we're quite a few installs in on formations and certain plays, and he was able to jump right back in there and really try to absorb some of the new things we're doing as well as his role, which is a pretty special one in our offense." Wednesday will be the last day of on-field work the Vikings do as a group until training camps open at the end of July. Until then, there seems to be sunny skies ahead for Jefferson and the Vikes regardless of how negotiations transpire in the interim. "I don't really see it as a cloud hanging over my head," Jefferson said. "At the end of the day, I'm still gonna be myself. Still gonna be playing the same way. The contract comes with the game." Kirk Cousins doesn’t expect further contract talks with Vikings until March Kirk Cousins is entering his sixth season with the Vikings. It could be his last. His contract expires after the season. And he told reporters on Wednesday that he expects no further contract discussions until after the upcoming season ends, via Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com. “Until then, just focus on this season and the job to do right now,” Cousins said. Earlier this year, the Vikings restructured the deal to create 2023 cap space. If Cousins doesn’t re-sign, they’ll take a $28.5 million cap charge in 2024. The situation potentially gives Cousins plenty of leverage after the season. It also gives the Vikings plenty of flexibility. If Cousins finds a higher level of performance and achievement this year, the Vikings will presumably keep him and pay him accordingly. If not, he’ll move on. The risk the team is taking comes from the possibility that Cousins plays well enough to end on the short list of options for other teams pursuing quarterbacks. PFT
D.J. Wonnum working to make “that Year 4 leap” with Danielle Hunter absent Danielle Hunter‘s absence from the Vikings’ offseason program has created questions about whether he will be a member of the team this fall. It’s also created more opportunities for another one of the team’s edge rushers. D.J. Wonnum has been working with the first team while Hunter has been away and he said this week that he’s trying to use the increased reps as a stepping stone to a breakthrough in his play. “It just showed me that my coaches or the front office — they believe, and I believe in myself,” Wonnum said, via Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. “Not something I’m foreign to. I’ve done it before. Just getting better at [being a starter], and just making that Year Four leap.” Wonnum had four sacks in a reserve role last year, but led the team with eight sacks while making 14 starts during the 2021 season. If he’s back in that role this year and shows he can be productive, he’ll wrap up the final season of his rookie contract with a chance to cash in as a free agent. PFT
