There's this young man who played at BGSU just down the road from me who is a great talent on the Defensive Line... Karl Brooks. The Vikings have a meeting scheduled with him and he looks like the real deal. Solid on QB pressure and a run stopper. He's got NFL size to; 6'4" and 300. He's got speed and power for a big man... would instantly fit on the Edge. He had a fantastic Senior Bowl and whas still snubbed to get called to the Combine. I really want the Vikings to capture this guy... he's going to be great somewhere, might as well be in Minnesota. Hope the meeting goes well. @Campbell Hi Tim... you ever heard of or seen this guy?
Karl Brooks never heard of him and nobody in the NFL sounds like he was completely ignored, sounds like he might ɓe a diamond in the rough here hope the Vikings gives him a shot...have to look at highlights of him
This is a surprise... Defensive lineman Dean Lowry is switching sides in the Packers-Vikings rivalry. The Vikings announced that Lowry has agreed to terms on a contract with the team on Friday. He has spent all seven of his NFL seasons with the Packers. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that it is a two-year, $8.5 million for Lowry. Lowry joined the Packers as a fourth-round pick in 2016 and he started 80 of the 111 games he played in Green Bay. He had 252 tackles, 15.5 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in those appearances and added 15 tackles in eight games. Dalvin Tomlinson left to sign with the Browns this week, so Lowry helps fill a need on the defensive line for new Vikings coordinator Brian Flores. PFT
I've looked at some highlights of Karl Brooks of Bowling Green he likes to bring the pressure something the Vikings really missed last year he would be a nice rotation piece for the Vikings if they sign him
Dean Lowry another pressure player in the rotation they still to pick up a linebacker in the draft the NFC North will be a rockin the Bears are sneaky getting better the Lions look damn tough Rodgers or not Green Bay’s always a tough out and the Division Champs Minnesota Vikings but like always they are tough to beat! GO VIKINGS
Minnesota Vikings agree to terms with OL Olisaemeka Udoh The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms with offensive lineman Olisaemeka Udoh will be returning to the team for the 2023 NFL season. Udoh was a sixth-round draft pick for the Vikings in 2019 and has been a solid depth piece for the team. While the starting positions on the offensive line are already solidified, Udoh’s return is a testament to Minnesota’s commitment to developing young talent. With his massive six-foot-six frame and excellent footwork, Udoh is a great depth piece for the Vikings’ offensive line. By giving players like Udoh the opportunity to grow and improve, the team is building a strong foundation for future success. Overall, the return of Udoh is a solid move for Minnesota. The move also signals a commitment by general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah to undertake a competitive rebuild as he continues to address depth pieces and starters in free agency
Vikings signed DL Dean Lowry a FA from the Green Bay Packers. Last season, Lowry started 12 of 15 games for Green Bay and totaled 43 tackles, one-half sack, five quarterback hits and a pass defensed. He recorded a career-high 5.0 sacks during the 2021 season. 2 yr 8.5M
He's back for more and I dont know for how much yet, but he's a great depth piece to step in if someone needs a blow or gets injured.
The Vikings have brought back one of their own in free agency. Minnesota has agreed to terms to re-sign defensive end Jonathan Bullard, the team announced on Tuesday. Bullard appeared in 12 games for the Vikings with seven starts in 2022. He recorded 23 tackles with five tackles for loss and a QB hit while playing a total of 27 percent of the club’s defensive snaps. A third-round pick in 2016, Bullard spent his first three seasons with the Bears. He has also played for the Cardinals, Seahawks, and Falcons. In 82 games with 22 starts, Bullard has recorded 136 total tackles with 3.5 sacks and five passes defensed. PFT
Minnesota has added a linebacker. The Vikings announced on Wednesday that they agreed to terms with Troy Reeder. Reeder, who turns 29 in September, started his career with the Rams — helping the club win Super Bowl LVI. But he switched his home locker room at SoFi Stadium in 2022, playing for the Chargers. He was on the field for 68 percent of the Chargers’ special teams snaps in 2022 along with six percent of defensive snaps. Reeder has been durable, as he hasn’t missed a game since making the Rams out of 2019 training camp. Reeder’s recorded 241 total tackles with 11 tackles for loss, eight QB hits, 5.0 sacks, and two interceptions in his 66 career games. The Vikings also announced they’ve agreed to terms with receiver Brandon Powell, whose signing had been reported earlier on Wednesday. PFT
Im still concerned what Kwesi and Flores are doing.... They are currently all over the place. Without major draft capitol or cap-space, im worried. Is Cook going to be traded? Will they bring in some ballers and not all these 'depth' players? Looks like a rebuild at the moment and that doesnt set well with me. After winning the North with an impressive record, they are tearing the place down... just hope they have a plan that works. By the way - CJ Ham got a 2 year extension. Im trying to be patient, but Kwesi and Flores have ne confused.
Really I thought CJ Ham was gone I kinda have to agree here Kwesi-Adofo-Mensah ĥe hasn't made no big time signing no help for Justin Jefferson what the hell is he waiting for to much gambling its like he's trying to catch lightning in a bottle, Brian Flores seems like he trying to make the defense as a whole more physical
Wow the Vikings let Duke Shelly just walk the door now he's a Raider why I don't understand this move is Andrew Booth Jr going to take his place now I'm confused just what direction are the Minnesota Vikings going in?
I quess this is getting younger and faster a lot of confusion to the fan base there the coaches, anyway so GO VIKINGS and its not over they still got training camp
