By the way... I do respect the Packers playing at home and playing for something... if Minnesota takes this game lightly, they will get their collective asses kicked. I think it will be a typical, close, nailbiter (what else is new) game. Just hope as I stated previously, that no one gets seriously hurt, especially members of the core that makes up this Vikings team. Rotations and depth will play a large role.

Vikings set to activate Irv Smith Jr. from IR

Tight end Irv Smith Jr. is set to return to the active roster in Minnesota.

Smith has been out since Week Eight with an ankle injury, but has been back at practice the last couple of weeks. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the team will activate Smith in time for Sunday’s game against the Bears.

The Vikings traded for T.J. Hockenson after Smith’s injury and Johnny Mundt has also played a role on offense, so it remains to be seen how Smith will fit into the mix.

Smith is set for free agency after the season. He missed all of last season and has 88 catches for 844 yards and nine touchdowns since entering the league as a 2019 second-round pick.

The Vikings announced that they waived tight end Nick Muse on Friday, so there’s a roster spot open for Smith.

Why? so far TJ Hockessin? he's played pretty well what will Irv Smith Jr do except drop passes and get hurt again give me a break enough of him like I said before he never lived up to the hype

Id like to see Smith Jr get a lot of reps vs the Bears. Rest up Hock and keep him from injury.

The 49ers must win today to earn the #2 seed, if not the Vikings own it.

The Vikings Defense got exposed big time how old and slow they looked really no spy on Daniel Jones just like the last time they played and where in hell were the linebackers they were MIA,it's playoff football thought were supposed to turn your game up a notch seemed like they played just for the paycheck WTF was that?

Garrett Bradbury says he'd like to re-sign with the Minnesota Vikings when he becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

"I'll have some good conversations here with the team moving forward, let them know that I love it here, I love being here," Bradbury said Tuesday. "I'd like to stay here. But it's a business and have to approach it as such. Have to figure out where the next steps are, but it's definitely weird."

Last season, Bradbury was ranked by PFF 39th out of 41 centers who played at least 20% of their team's snaps. He graded out as the third-worst pass-blocking center and was ranked 21st in run blocking.

This season, he was 12th overall, 9th in run blocking and although he improved as a pass blocker, he still ranked 23rd out of 31 centers who played nearly 600 snaps.

Bradbury, the 18th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, returned for the playoff game against the Giants after missing five games with a back injury. Bradbury struggled mightily against Giants defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, who was routinely in the backfield and putting heat on Kirk Cousins.

Bradbury's PFF grade against the Giants was 28.0 out of a possible 100 points. It was bad, but he was going up against Lawrence, who was Pro Football Focus' (PFF) No. 1-ranked defensive tackle this season. The only games Bradbury had a worse pass-blocking grade were against Miami in Week 6 and Green Bay in Week 1. Miami boasts Christian Wilkins on the interior while Kenny Clark has been a menace for the Packers against the Vikings for years.

The issues against Lawrence were a magnified view of the issues Bradbury has had in pass protection throughout his career. This season, he led all centers in pressures allowed (29) and QB hits (8), according to PFF.

"It's been an awesome year," Bradbury said. "I told [Kevin O'Connell], this is the most fun year I've had. Coming to work every day, obviously winning is fun and that takes care of a lot of it, but just the day-to-day life here, it's awesome here right now. They got a good thing building here."

If Bradbury doesn't return, the Vikings will need to look elsewhere for a starting center. Their only options on the roster are Austin Schlottmann, who is recovering from a broken leg suffered in Week 17 against the Packers, and Chris Reed, the former Minnesota State-Mankato player who has been a journeyman guard in the NFL.

Well, In my opinion, when you have Dalvin Cook, you ride him... he is their bread and butter at the RB position. The whole game really showed how inept they are defensively, especially in the secondary. Hopefully and unfortunately, they replace Ed Donatell and the return of Cine and Andrew Booth should help a lot. A healthy Dantzler would be a nice thing also.

I think the experience in getting hammered by the Giants will go a long way in KOC's maturation. The offense is star-studded when healthy (O-line), they just all need to be on the same page.

Now, Kurk Cousins future... thats a big issue also. Im perplexed at the moment of exactly what I think. Cousins is good and I am a fan, but is he good enough to take them over the top? And how much money do you pay a 'not ready for prime-time' player?

Vikings have plenty of work to do this off-season. I will be very interested to see how the head honcho's handle this, especially, GM Kwesi.

It might take 2yrs they a lot of holes to fill on the O-line a center they need linebackers and cb's they got to get younger and faster it's s MUST to keep up with the Lions and the Bears, Packers and Vikings are in the same boat
