Lingering ankle injury but he will play though it to a 100% WTF why don't they just play Alexander Mattson and let Dalvin Cook get healthy cause a limping ankle injury Dalvin Cook is not good
Does anybody knows what's going on Mike Zimmer brand of football is Dull!! Tricky Ricky is a joke he can't be happy about this!,a change has to made frustrating nobody cares
are the Vikings a top level NFL team no and Mike Zimmer will never win a SB it's just not in him cause this guy has had time to prove it
That's real bad news he's been the Vikings best CB and this happened at the worst time, maybe the bye will help him to recover
Cousins is enjoying one of the best seasons of his 10-year career -- and I think it's safe to say the continuity of Minnesota's offensive scheme has a lot to do with this. He's been in this offense, which is predicated around a productive run game behind a zone-blocking scheme that ultimately sets up play-action, bootlegs and screens, since his days in Washington with Kyle Shanahan in 2012 and '13. I'm sure Cousins is comfortable running the offense and likely has more say this season than he has before, given that he's working with a first-year offensive coordinator in Klint Kubiak. This offense simply makes life easier for quarterbacks, as I know from my days running it with Gary Kubiak (Klint's dad) in Houston. After my first season in the system, Gary told me he should've given me more freedom within the offense, that he should have added wrinkles or plays that catered to my strengths. We're seeing Cousins build off the foundation of this offense and thrive at the position with the help of a dynamic rushing duo (Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison) and a pair of receivers that demand defensive attention (Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson). One indicator of Cousins' comfort level is the fact that he has thrown at least three pass TDs against zero INTs in five of his last eight games. He's also helped the Vikings win three of their last four after leading back-to-back game-winning drives. Though he's not yet widely seen as a potential MVP, Cousins has positioned himself right in the mix with other MVP candidates through six weeks this season: NFL.com
Not a fan of Capt Kirk but I have to admit he's seems more relaxed in the pocket and he's playing much better,it's like Mike Zimmer has taken the training off just hope we continue to see the Good Kirk and the bad Kirk stays far away
Klint Kubiak is over his head I have no idea what that was last night, it was so clear last night Mike Zimmer is not head coaching material bad time management it was so easy for the Cowboys last night the Vikings kept doing the same thing,I did not understand why they kept trying to run the ball so sick and tired of this Bud Grant wannabe
It’s time for the “just good enough” Vikings to say “enough” Last December, we shared some hard truths about the state of the Vikings in recent years. The franchise exudes a sense that being “just good enough” is more than good enough to stave off major changes that may be critical to lifting the team out of a perpetual purple purgatory, where it can’t win a Super Bowl but also won’t sink so far to justifying pressing the reset button. After last night’s ugly loss to a team without its starting quarterback, ownership needs to start considering the reset button. Currently, it’s not working. Offensively or defensively. Special-teams are no great shakes either; a missed 37-yard field goal prevented a win over the Cardinals, and an inexplicably short 49-yard field goal opened the door for a fourth-quarter, double-digit comeback by the lowly Lions. The current Vikings are operating like the pre-Favre Brad Childress teams. Keep it close and hope for a late break. That’s a recipe for .500 or something close to it. It’s a recipe for getting to the playoffs every other year. It’s a recipe for keeping the fan base engaged by the possibility that the team eventually will deliver a Super Bowl win without ever taking the aggressive and necessary steps toward doing so. It’s Big Shield’s version of the Big Lie. All teams spout off the notion that the goal is to win the Super Bowl, this year and every year. But they all know that it’s not a realistic goal. The real Super Bowl victory comes on the balance sheet, where they get brand-new Lombardi Trophies each and every year, even in the pandemic. That’s part of the grift, frankly. Plenty of teams don’t make winning a Super Bowl a priority. Instead, they simply act like they’re trying to win a Super Bowl because fans wouldn’t buy tickets or watch the games or funnel various forms of money and attention to the team if they knew the football gods’-honest truth. And here it is. Just good enough is more than good enough to make many millions in profit, year after year. In Minnesota, just good enough may no longer be good enough. Especially since last night’s effort was not nearly good enough. The offense had no rhythm or urgency. The defense seemed woefully unprepared to deal with Cooper Freaking Rush. And coach Mike Zimmer may have begun the process of signing his own pink slip with a Fahu Tahi-stye f–kup by calling two straight timeouts, triggering a penalty that shrank third and 16 to third and 11, and then watching his defense be out-efforted by Ezekiel Elliott for the third-down conversion that set up the game-winning touchdown. Zimmer, to his credit, took the blame for taking back-to-back timeouts. Then again, it’s not like it was anyone else’s fault. Zimmer became so caught up in his role as de facto defensive coordinator that he lost sight of his head-coaching responsibilities. And if a head coach who tries to wear both hats can’t do it, he shouldn’t try. “I screwed up,” Zimmer said, because what else was he going to say in that moment? The last thing he could have done was repeat his preseason bravado about being “still ahead of the curve” and about landing on his feet as the head coach of another NFL team if the Vikings don’t want him. Seven games in, the best-case scenario is 9-8 or 10-7 and a one-and-done playoff appearance or something like 7-10 or 8-9 and no postseason for the second straight year. Either way, it’s time for ownership to say “enough” when it comes to the team’s perpetual “just good enough” vibe. PFT
Just keeping getting worse I don't know what to think he played to LOSE NOT TO WIN Hunter being lost for the season hurts
Vikings Claim DE Jonah Williams off Waivers EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Wednesday added depth to their defensive line by claiming defensive end Jonah Williams off waivers. Williams, who first entered the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2020, played in his first eight NFL games this season. The 26-year-old played 96 snaps on defense in a rotational role and 41 on special teams. He recorded five tackles.
Another question for you why hasn't Mike Zimmer been fired yet I believe he has already lost the locker room, by the weak azz playing calling and playing NOT TO WIN
It looks like the Vikings will be without their center for Sunday’s game against the Ravens. Minnesota announced on Thursday that the team has placed Garrett Bradbury on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The Vikings’ announcement regarding the transaction notes that Bradbury was vaccinated in the spring, which means he’s going on the list for a positive test. Bradbury could theoretically rejoin the Vikings for Sunday’s game with two negative tests separated by 24 hours, but that is unlikely. Bradbury had started every game for Minnesota since he was drafted at No. 18 overall in the 2019 draft. He’d played every one of the Vikings’ offensive snaps this season. Minnesota is likely to start Mason Cole at center in Week Nine. The Vikings signed tight end Luke Stocker off of their practice squad to take Bradbury’s spot on the 53-man roster. Minnesota signed defensive end Nate Orchard to fill the open practice squad slot. Minnesota also announced that the team has waived defensive end Jonah Williams with a failed physical designation. The Vikings had claimed Williams off waivers after the Rams cut him earlier this week. PFT
