Chad Greenway sure worked hard. But, your right about Mike, he was very quiet. Dont recall him even being there most of the time.
So, its starting to come together. If Zimmer gets his way, Norv Turner will be the OC, and George Edwards will be the DC. I like it...a lot.
i just read that Mike Zimmer has a potty mouth wow, cause Jerry Burns really had a potty mouth lol...i know the draft is away off just don't go after a QB build up the Defense and get a Stud LG..i agree with you i like the direction the Vikings are going,BUT TIME WILL TELL
Good teams have good leadership...it has to start at the top. I really do believe Zimmer can bring what this team needed for a long time. Discipline if done right, can go a long way.
as good as Greenway has been it's time to get a Monster LB,its time for to start teaching the young players on what it takes to be an pro in the NFL yeah they got to find a QB please i hope they don't reach, but fixing the Defense and the O-line is a must...Mike Singletary to leave at the end of the month had that already planned before Frazier was fired WTF,it's like the coaching staff knew they were history at the end of the season ( i'm having a hard time with Chris Kluwe does he really think the Vikings would let Mike Priefer go on his say so? )
I think they could see the handwriting on the wall. A new HC ment they were going to clean house and bring in new, fresh blood. No doubt in my mind, Frazier new he was toast at the end of the season.
The Sports Exchange... Well, he certainly says all the right things, and he has some decent credentials. Almost cant wait for next season to start.
he does talk the talk something that he said that i like, when he said tough physical football the last time the Vikings played that way was at the Met is he going to revive the Purple People Eaters....we will see if he can bring a SB championship to the Minnesota Vikings
what do you know about George Edwards it looks he's going to be the Vikings DC..if you have any info let me know
Dallas Cowboys - Edwards held the position of linebackers coach for the Dallas Cowboys from 1998 to 2001. Linebacker Dexter Coakley was selected to two Pro Bowls under Edwards tutelage and led the team in tackles all four seasons in that span. Washington Redskins - In 2002, Edwards moved on to the Washington Redskins under the title of Assistant Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers coach. That season linebacker LaVar Arrington had his most productive career year, recording 107 tackles and 11 quarterback sacks to earn a Pro Bowl selection. Each of the team's three starting linebackers - Arrington, Jessie Armstead and Jeremiah Trotter - surpassed 100 tackles that season. The following season, Edwards was promoted to the role of defensive coordinator. The team had two Pro Bowlers on defense that season - Arrington and cornerback Champ Bailey. Cleveland Browns - Edwards served as linebackers coach for the Cleveland Browns for one season in 2004. Miami Dolphins - After his stint in Cleveland, Edwards became linebackers coach of the Miami Dolphins under first-year head coach Nick Saban. He served in that capacity for five seasons and was one of only two members of the coaching staff retained after Cam Cameron was fired after the 2007 season. Edwards left Miami to become the University of Florida defensive coordinator. Weeks later, he left Florida and accepted a job as defensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo Bills - On February 4, 2010, the Buffalo Bills confirmed that Edwards accepted the job as the Buffalo Bills' defensive coordinator, replacing Perry Fewell. He was fired on January 2, 2012, and replaced by Dave Wannstedt. Miami Dolphins - On January 30, 2012, Edwards was named linebackers coach for the Miami Dolphins under defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle and head coach Joe Philbin. This is his second stint with the Dolphins as a position coach. Minnesota Vikings - On January 16th, 2014, Edwards was hired by the Minnesota Vikings to be their Defensive Coordinator under new Head Coach Mike Zimmer
I dont think the Vikings could have put together a better staff, based on whats available out there. This is great. Im a firm believer in success starting at the top and because of talent, it has the trickle down effect. We should see a very improved product on the field next season.
very impressive resume George Edward has,i want him to work some magic with the lb's i just want the DC to play a more aggressive style no more of this prevent passive aggression Defense....Thank You for the info
Adrian Peterson may need groin surgery and is cosidering all his options. Im glad he's a quick healer... no matter wich direction he chooses, Im sure he' will be ready to go when called upon.
AP take your time to heal up,Vikings need to lock up Toby Gerhart and Matt Asiata it's time to stating playing some D,and a more balanced offensive game plan....as good as AP is it's time to get other players involved
So, thats the news there. Peterson is finally going to get that groin surgically repaired. Knowing him, he will probably only be down a day or two. Imagine what a fully healthy Peterson will be capable of doing.
finally it seems like the Vikings have an idea which way to go,Frazier as the HC should have made AP take care of the groin oh man for the past 2 seasons if Jerry Gray can help the Vikings sorry secondary GREAT!...i watched the game Clemson vrs Ohio State the QB Tajh Boyd he looked pretty good and so did that wideout Watkins him and CP would just be deadly!!!!!!
Yes...It sure is refreshing so far. All the weak areas seem to be being addressed. It will be nice wont it. I can only imagine the pleasure of seeing a ball hawking defense back in Minnesota. The secondary has been horible as of late.
