It's time for Irv Smith to play a bigger role,i keep wondering will Diggs remain a member of the Minnesota Vikings and it time to play some constant football enough of this up and down crap!
Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter quietly has become one of the best pass rushers in football. He also has quietly set an all-time record. With a sack of Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz on Sunday, Hunter has 46.0 for his career. That’s more than any player ever has generated before turning 25. “Somebody told me that the day before the game, that if he got a sack that he would do that,” coach Mike Zimmer told reporters regarding the mark. Is Hunter the best pass rusher Zimmer has coached? “I don’t know, DeMarcus Ware was pretty good, too,” Zimmer said. “But Danielle is talented, and he’s still got a lot of room to grow. I think he can continue to get better and better and better, but he’s pretty darn good.” Hunter turns 25 on October 29. Drafted as a 20-year-old in 2015, Hunter became a full-time starter in 2017, after generating 12.5 sacks in 2016 as a backup. Last year, he had a career-high 14.5 sacks. This year, he has 6.0 sacks in six games.
Vikings tight end David Morgan won’t be coming off the physically unable to perform list this year. The team announced that Morgan was having season-ending knee surgery. Morgan had knee surgery early this offseason and wasn’t ready for camp, and apparently has had continued problems. The former sixth-round pick from Texas-San Antonio started six games for them last year, and caught five passes.
Bad break for David Morgan just hope the Vikings finally make Irv Smith more of a focal point in the offense
Vikings receiver Adam Thielen suffered a hamstring injury on Sunday against the Lions. He hopes to be available when the Vikings return to action in only four days. “We’ll evaluate it, see where it’s at after getting an MRI and then hopefully I’ll get ready to go,” Thielen said after the win in Detroit, via Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. “I’m optimistic that I’ll be playing and that’s all we can do right now.” Thielen added that he doesn’t think it will be any tougher to be ready by Thursday as opposed to a normal week. But how can it not be? Those extra three days could make a huge difference when it comes to healing the injured muscle. The Vikings performed well without Thielen, but they’ll be even better if he’s available for quarterback Kirk Cousins‘ first game against the his old team.
Adam Thielen take your time and rest up a hamstring injury can be a nagging injury,Olibsi ( sp ) Johnson looked real good i can't help stop thinking this is what the Vikings expected from Laquon Treadwell
Totally agree. Johnson shined and will get better too. Thielen is one tough hombre... I bet he plays Thursday night.
The Vikings practiced without wide receiver Adam Thielen on Tuesday due to the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday’s win over the Lions, but head coach Mike Zimmer isn’t ruling him out Thursday’s game against Washington. Zimmer told reporters on Tuesday that Thielen is “improving fast” and therefore has a chance to play as the Vikings try to extend their winning streak to four games. Thielen was optimistic about playing immediately after Sunday’s game and remains in a positive frame of mind about being in the lineup. “I don’t know what the percent chance is, but I feel great,” Thielen said, via the Pioneer Press. “Obviously, it’s a short week, so they’re doing everything I can to try to play. It’s come a long way in the two days since the game, so I feel good and am very hopeful for the game.” Wednesday will bring another practice and the release of injury designations that provide more insight into just how likely it is that Thielen plays this week.
Well it's official Adam Thielen is out for the Redskins game good let the hamstring take a break, and the Vikings need put David Dixon in the Vikings ROH back then they had a outstanding O-line and he was a Big O-line man he was quite good
Vikings cornerback Holton Hill‘s suspension ended Friday, the day after the team’s Week Eight game. The Vikings will have a roster exemption that expires Nov. 4. Hill served two four-game suspensions, one for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances and one for violating the NFL policy on substances of abuse. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer doesn’t know what kind of impact Hill immediately can have. “I don’t know. He hasn’t practiced in eight weeks,” Zimmer said Friday, via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press. “We’ll see how he looks when he gets out there.’’ Hill played 57 percent of the snaps in the final nine games after the Vikings were hit with injuries. The undrafted free agent ended up playing 374 defensive snaps and 260 special teams snaps during his rookie season.
