I was just wondering will Laquon Treadwell finally have a breakout year or is it Bust City for him no matter how hard he tries?
Mitchel and Bebe are looking good. I read the competition for the 3WR is very intense and wide open still.
I think Bebe has the best shot at being the 3rd Wr,unless Mitchell comes on like gang busters it's Bebe job to lose..will Treadwell ever git it your quess is as good as mine
Gary Kubiak: Chad Beebe had as good an offseason as any player... The Vikings went into the offseason knowing that Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen will be their top two receivers in 2019, but there was nothing certain beyond that on the depth chart. With the offseason program in the books, it looks like the third spot might be Chad Beebe‘s to lose once the team gets to training camp. Beebe only played 46 snaps after making the team as an undrafted free agent last year, but offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski said he spent the last couple of months “making a name for himself” at practice. Assistant head coach Gary Kubiak saw the same things Stefanski saw and came to a similar conclusion. “Let’s see how we end up,” Kubiak said, via the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “I think we also have to look at the fact that [Beebe] has probably had as good an offseason as any player that I know on our side of the ball. He’s got a chance to be a really good player for us. It gives us good flexibility to be able to bounce around personnel-wise.” Beebe’s also gotten looks as a punt returner this spring, which may help him find his way to the field more often on a Vikings team that figures to use a lot of two tight end looks after drafting Irv Smith in the second round and holding onto Kyle Rudolph. If i'm Treadwell my days as a Minnesota Vikings are over,i do think he'll make the roster then after the season ends he will be cut,a change of scene might do him some good.....i strongly agree it's Beebe job to lose a possible punt returner and a 3 WR
Free up salary cap after the season ends,i do think Everson Griffen will be let go also Riley Reiff Linval Joseph? Laquon Treadwell somebody's got to go Rhodes or Waynes the Vikings can't keep both, the off-season should be full of surprises
Some guy from can't remember who it was just dissed the Vikings fan base i was PO about that,a hardcore fan means sticking with your team in good times and bad and being loyal and knowledgeable
His name is Professor Mike Lewis school of business at Emory University 21st in fan equity road equity social equity what do they mean? sounds confusing,i guess the 3 top teams according to him are the Cowboys Patriots Eagles, like somebody said this is bogus and i blame twitter
People can believe what they want to believe... the proof is in the pudding. That's why they play the games. Every year people produce lists. Some are good, some are junk. I only trust a few to be knowledgeable, accurate and done with tedious evaluation. Even then they can be wrong, because of the "any given Sunday" phenomenon.
Kyle Rudolph raves about Garrett Bradbury... The Vikings have plenty of quality veterans on the roster. But it’s a new player who caught the attention of offensive captain Kyle Rudolph during offseason workouts. Asked during a Wednesday visit to #PFTPM to identify a teammate whose performance stood out during the offseason program, the ninth-year tight end went with a first-year player, Garrett Bradbury. “I’d have to go with our rookie center,” Rudolph said. “Any time you draft a guy in the first round obviously there’s expectations for them to come in and contribute to your football team and help your team win. Garrett’s come in and he’s a phenomenal young guy. He’s really, really intelligent. But he’s a great athlete and he fits our scheme perfectly. Going up against guys like [defensive tackle] Linval Joseph is a pretty good barometer of how you’ll match up in this league and he’s more than held his own.” That’s good news for a Vikings team that struggled last year due in large part to the struggles of its offensive line. The offensive line struggled in large part due to the sudden passing of offensive line coach Tony Sparano not long before training camp opened. “It was an awful situation, and it was extremely difficult,” Rudolph said. “It hit a lot of people extremely closely on our team throughout that early part of August. I feel like Andrew Janocko, our assistant offensive line coach, Clancy Barone who was our tight ends coach and moved over to offensive line, they did an unbelievable job in an extremely tough circumstance. Anytime you have to shuffle around in early August, that doesn’t set you up for much success. We moved Todd Downing over to the tight ends room who was an assistant wide receivers coach and kind of an offensive advisor. “None of us had worked together. We were all with different people in OTAs and minicamp and then the first day of training camp we show up and we’ve got a bunch of new coaches in new spots. Our coaching staff did an unbelievable job preparing us last year. Unfortunately, we did not go out on offense an execute. We weren’t very good on third down. We probably didn’t score as many touchdowns in the red zone as we probably should have. When you don’t do those two areas of football very well it’s not going to result to very many wins.” Despite the adversity, the Vikings still went 8-7-1. With less adversity and a better offensive line in 2019, the Vikings could end up much better than that. (PFT)
Ive been liking the reports im hearing during the offseason. Sure hope Cousins and the offense can click.
The Offensive line will be will be a major factor if the Vikings have a good year or not,the defense will be ok! from i read looks like the NFC NORTH is going back to being the Black and Blue Div. should be a head busting affair
Nick Foles said Offensive Coordinator John DeFilippo puts a heavy emphasis on using running backs in the passing game,WTH when he was with the Vikings he was all about the pass Zimmer tried to get him to run ball...it will interesting how JAGUARS Offense will look
That's whats cool about Kubiak... he has a knack of getting 1000 yard rushers going and is heavy on the run game. If the Vikings can run the football, Cousins should be able to relax, step back and pick the defenses apart with Thielen and Diggs. Im really excited about those Vikings... I think they are sleepers right now flying under the radar.
I hope that Gary Kubiak can get the running game going, with a healthy Dalvin Cook expecting big things from Alexander Mattison and Mike Boone something that Zimmer wanted last year GO VIKINGS
From; NFL.com... Minnesota Vikings: Don't let a disappointing 2018 campaign overshadow the potential of the sleeping giant residing in the Twin Cities. While there was plenty of hate spewed in Kirk Cousins' direction for the way things turned out in his first season after signing a blockbuster deal, the Vikings should feel good about his chances of performing like a top-10 quarterback in an offense being overseen by coordinator Kevin Stefanski and advisor Gary Kubiak. The system places a premium on the running game -- something Minnesota didn't do enough of last season, much to Mike Zimmer's dismay -- and complementary aerial attack. With Dalvin Cook healthy and ready to add sizzle to the running game as a stretch (outside zone) runner, Cousins could terrorize opponents with timely dimes to Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Defensively, the Vikings have more than enough playmakers (Danielle Hunter, Everson Griffen, Anthony Barr, Eric Kendricks, Harrison Smith, and Xavier Rhodes) to win nip-and-tuck battles that are traditionally won with the defense on the field. If the Vikings can learn how to play complementary ball in each of the game's three phases, Zimmer's team could be standing in the winner's circle at the end of the season.
Let hope the Vikings can get it together..and stand in the winner circle SB Champs! but every teams dreams about being SB Champs
The NFL has suspended Vikings running back Roc Thomas for three games for violation of the league’s substance abuse policy. He is allowed to participate in training camp and the preseason. Thomas admitted to felony marijuana possession in May but was sentenced to probation, with the charge dismissed if he completes conditions of the probationary term. Those include a chemical dependency evaluation and possible treatment; no alcohol or drug use; and random testing. Officers executed a search warrant on Thomas’ apartment Jan. 16 after complaints about the smell of marijuana. Police found 143 grams of marijuana and nearly $16,000 in cash. Thomas, 23, played in five games last season and had 10 touches for 51 yards. He played 29 snaps on offense and 59 on special teams.
