I think its because of comparisons and who's available on the market. Cousins was a big deal because he was the best FA not counting Brees... that doesn't mean he's a great QB, just the best available.

Sure hope he turns out to be a bag of chips.

Cousins is great 3 or 4 games a year and average at best the rest of the year.

 

We will see but i don't think he's worth all the money they paid,it's SB or bust 3 or 4 games that's rough Vikings are a good team Kirk Cousin is just a piece of the puzzle..how good he will be don't know

 

Sheldon Richardson to Vikings on a one-year deal

The Vikings just made another big purchase.

This time, literally.

The Vikings have announced that they have agreed to a one-year deal with former Jets and Seahawks defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson.

The one-year deal’s an interesting one, as Richardson may not have found the kind of long-term love he was seeking. But with a short-term deal with what is expected to be a talented team, he’s in good position to cash in a year from now. (PFT)

Vikings’ Joe Berger retires




Vikings offensive lineman Joe Berger is calling it a career.

Berger, a guard/center who started all 16 games for the Vikings last year, said today that he’s done. The 35-year-old Berger played seven seasons in Minnesota after previous stops in Miami and Dallas.

“After a lot of careful thought and prayer I have decided to retire from football,” Berger wrote in a statement. “I have been fortunate to enjoy 13 seasons and have had the opportunity to play with so many good players and coaches. I was on some great teams before the Vikings, but it wasn’t until I got to Minnesota that I really felt at home.”

The move is no surprise, as Berger said during the season that he was leaning toward retirement. But he was a free agent who drew interest from the Lions and Panthers as well as the Vikings, and he decided to listen to those teams’ offers.

In the end, however, he decided he’s done.

Just a fantasy of mine if Vikings could draft Sony Michel? he would be a nice change of pace rb,never happen though
