He's determining who is and isn't "a real Browns fan" based on criteria he's set, which is determined by his character. Pointing out how flawed that character is is framing that conversation.
He's a Browns fan posting on the Browns board. He gets a lot of leeway. I would expect the same type of thrashing if I came on the Bears board and the only thing I posted was how such and such is an dipshit, or asshole or etc... There was nothing meaningful in the post by a non Browns fan on the browns board. It's that simple. I welcome @terribleTODDand you here to post as much as you want. I love outside views on things, as long as it is pertinent to the conversation. What is said between Browns fans can be ironed out and it already has been between the two of us.
Here's the hard part on this subject... A lot of the posters in this board think that I am the one being the asshole, posting negative things about a Browns player and to some extent the organization. So who am I to try and censor their opinion? Everyone has an opinion and I welcome them all. When he called out another poster, I called him out...

Or we can go back to discussing all things Browns. For example, how much should the Browns passing game improve by this year? 4 spots in the rankings? More? Less?
I'm curious, you don't think a healthy Mayfield can improve the passing game by 4 spots in the ranking? He would be the "without Watson" option as of now and they were ranked 27th last year so doing better shouldn't be that hard if Baker is who many think he was/is.
Absolutely I do, I was going on the assumption Mayfield won't be here, as is the majority way of thinking. Personally, if I am paying Mayfield's salary for 2022, if Watson is suspended, Mayfield is my starter. But everyone and their mother believe the Browns will move on from Mayfield no matter what. I'm not convinced, but until I see Mayfield show up in Berea OH for mandatory mini camp, I have to assume like everyone else he isn't going to be a Brown come September. I don't believe Jacoby Brissett improves the passing game over a hurt Baker Mayfield in 2021...That is the metric I am going off of.

Clearly there are factors unknown as of yet.... Who will have more passing yards this season, Cleveland or Baltimore? Lot of Browns fans are down on Brissett, but I think he's one of the better back-ups in the NFL. I feel confident that with the team we have built around him, he can keep Cleveland in the mix, even if it's a lengthy suspension for Watson...

Assuming Mayfield doesnt play, which all signs point to based on what he has said and there is a Watson suspension... What do you Browns fans think about Brissett? I believe personally that Brissett can do an adequate job if needed. The Browns are literally stacked and a deep football team. Maybe behind Brissett they can still be a viable force to be reckoned with. I really think, Jacoby Brissett can do some serious damage... I personally believe in him. He's not bad at all. So, bottom line, if a Watson suspension is looming, Mayfield rides the pine, Brissett is the man and im not thinking this Browns team will suck, because they are way to talented and stacked. Many times ive seen an 'average' QB lead a stacked , good, football team.
I agree Will. Brissett is a solid player. The Browns made the switch at back-up QB because they believe, at this stage in their career's, Brissett is better than Case Keenum. As I've mentioned before, the way our schedule sets up, I think even if we needed him for the entire first half of the season, Jacoby could win 5 or 6 games or more with this surrounding cast. We are likely going to see the best Jacoby Brissett we've ever seen. The Browns got better and better on defense all season last year, and they are going to be one of the best units in football this season. All Brissett will have to do is not give games away. He has an solid career TD to Int ratio, so I think he'll be fine in Kevin Stafansky's QB friendly offense, especially with one of the best lines in the league up front and Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt behind him.
