I saw conclusive evidence. Ball was resting on his hands loose. At that point it has yet to hit the ground but the catch process resets. The ball then hits the ground when he rolls before he secures it again. It should have been incomplete. Also there was DPI on that play. The intercepting player technically interfered on his way up for the ball. There was also the missed obvious INT before the Bills' last punt and tacking a QB at the neck. The bills were given almost no chance by the refs to come back.
That's the play I had an issue with. Jags run D is suspect. With Shady and TT, excellent chance of scoring a TD there. The Bills D had a solid game, why not put it on their shoulders? But that only makes it 10-7. They didn't do enough on offense to take advantage of Jaxonville's offense inefficiencies.
He did but I think he juuuuust got it by the time that 2nd foot came up. Kinda like Benjamin vs the Patriots except they didn't inexplicably reserve it.
The Bills had to try to come back with the refs working against them 1. Obvious missed DPI on the play before punt 2. Illegal tackle to neck of a QB trying to make a pass not called 3. Intentional grounding when contact affected throw 4. Missed DPI on INT 5. Missed Drop on INT
"Inexplicably"... too bad there isn't a better word for "bullshittery". That word pops up a lot when New England plays. I mean, both words.
Would've helped momentum, and playcalls change when you only need a FG rather than a TD. Then those missed penalties become a factor, because the missed PF when Taylor was taken out would've had them in or very near to FG range.
McCoy couldn't be used as much as they wished either. He was injured from lastweek's game. Didn't practice all week until lightly on the last practice.
Their human bowling ball would've been enough from the goal line. As far as the entire game, a 100% Shady makes a difference.
The Bills own the #21 and #22 picks in the draft. They will almost certainly be picking a QB. Probably trade up.
If Washington franchises Cousins, send those two picks to sign him? Or even take a look at Alex Smith.
Bills should look to send #21, #22 and a 2nd to the Browns for pick #4 to take a QB. They'll get their QB and still have a 2nd rounder to use themselves. They could try with the Colts but they may want more.
