My favorite moment from yesterday: New England Patriots involving their fans during a touchdown celebration... fucking beautiful, man.
Playing from behind, at Foxboro, 2 minutes left, needing a TD, relying on Blake Bortles' arm for a Super Bowl berth... death sentence.
What a piss poor throw considering the coverage. Westbrook needed to get it on his back hip if it wasn't batted down. If it was thrown ahead of him it's a TD. Great defensive play either way though.
Let's give him some credit. Yes many could have gotten it and he was beat by the WR but when the ball came it needed perfect timing at a bit awkward of a position to get to that ball.
It was a good play, tough for someone like me or you. They only thing preventing a corner to make that play would be a lack of having the presence of mind to pull it off. Physically, any nfl corner should be able to pull it off. I give him good grades on timing, but the pass was weak and underthrown.
I know. Lost on this play was the fact that he was beat deep. He is being hailed a hero while if the throw wasn't overthrown he'd be a zero.
