The moves in general I like. The issue is they are taking a big risk bc they have to trust they are at least close to a playoff team this year and I mean WC calibre, not NFC South division winning limp in calibre.

He's my 2/3 with Campbell if not for the injury. This injury does matter to bump him down bc of the position and type but he was always still a 1st rounder because at that position it's worth the risk for the talent.

Yup. I had to look her up because I was drawing a blank.

    Wish I hadn’t

If the Jags can successfully use him at 2 positions then you must factor in they got 2 players. In that case it makes a lot of sense value-wise. They must make major strides though.

Exactly I had Johnson at like 12 or so but we don't know the complete medicals, especially not as clearly as we might know about Simmons for example and it's about projecting risk. I would have loved that pick too but I'm not banging the table bc of that cloudiness. Same for Mike Green. I'm sure half the teams took him off their board by default. We don't know the full picture here and nobody may know there. Some teams won't take that risk at all.

Still the sweet spot unless you really love one of the available players.

MOFO got Nike to make him custom NYG cleats with his logo on them when it looked like they were picking #1 and I'm sure he was stroking it bc it was still them when he thought he was going #3.
    Cringe AF.

Counter argument, find out quickly if Milroe or Sanders or whoever is your guy and if you can work with him. If not, toss him like Rosen and push for a QB next year.

I would not have traded up just because it was the sweet spot on my rankings still, just barely, before the next tier. Colts also felt they didn't need to trade up for the position in general but once he was there he made too much sense. As I said last night I was not surprised Loveland went first and to who it was.

Looking back, I did try for Seattle at 18 in the 1st mock a few times to get in that spot. Lucky I got Campbell still but everyone else went and for them personally I was trying for Banks.

I will have to look up Amanda.

But I agree with the Kathryn Hahn thing. She’s got an aura.

I also think this is why I have it so bad for Anna Kendrick. Because she is both conventionally attractive, and has that extra aura about her. She’s just quirky, etc. I could go on, but no one wants to watch me drooling online.

    LMAO

Will Johnson and Mike Green I'll leave out for their clear flags but my remaining top 10:
    Donovan Ezeiruaku
    Nick Emmanwori
    Luther Burden III
    Shedeur Sanders
    Mason Taylor
    Jonah Savaiinaea
    Xavier Watts
    Jayden Higgins
    Alfred Collins
    TreVeyon Henderson

Somewhere towards the end of that list my 1st round grades end. It's after Sanders though. I still like his potential, but his personality and baggage hurt.

1st round grade cut off somewhere before or after each of these names. It kinda blurs and changes lol.

Zabel was Seattle's target the whole time. They felt that 18 was in the sweet spot where guards would start to come into play and got nervous when Booker went all the way at 12 when teams like Arizona might be looking for one. Booker is not a fit for them but they might have settled for him. My guess maybe they would have done what the Vikings did and take Jackson. It's not the deepest Guard draft as far as people you can really trust.

I'm more thinking back to yesteryear on Plummer, as she was a multiple Tony-nominated/winning actress on stage even before she became known in movies. She's definitely NOT the Anna Kendrick type of beauty, and half her roles go out of the way to make her *less* attractive.

In film, she's best known for playing the way out there quirky characters - the "real" Ellen James in The World According To Garp, Yolanda (Honey Bunny) in Pulp Fiction, the brilliant but traumatized one in the Hunger Games sequel who figured out and warned the others that the game zone was a clock ("tick tock tick tock, tick tock tick tock"), the psycho lead character in Butterfly Kiss, etc. Offhand I can't think of any actress who has played the off-kilter roles more often than her.

If you're a Slow Horses fan and like murder movies, check out Butterfly Kiss. The other lead is Saskia Reeves.

Don’t get it wrong, I love her as an actress, she’s great… but I could never accidentally have a crush of any kind on her. Just not my cup of tea.

The Cleveland Browns acquired another fifth-round pick in a deal with the Houston Texans hours before Round 1 of the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday.

The Browns received a 2025 fifth-round pick (No. 166) as well as a 2027 fifth-rounder, according to the team.

In exchange, the Texans received two sixth-round picks (No. 179, No. 216) and one seventh-rounder (No. 255) in this weekend's draft.

Yeah this kicked off our draft chatter yesterday.
I was whining about how stupid this was for Houston.
    I maintain that stance currently

Man, I’m glad I took today off because of my earlier hang over, but damn it’s a long day waiting for 7:00 to get here. I’ve been watching a lot of draft TV, but it started repeating the same stories hours ago… I wish they were talking more about the remaining prospects. It’s only been about the drafted players and the QBs…
