To anyone using Firefox, sorry the draft board window is much smaller. It works on other browsers fine.
Extremely solid pick for the Seahawks. IOL help was needed. That and a WR last 2 picks, giving Darnold the support he needs.
He's a much better fit for Seattle IMO than Booker who I passed on earlier. That's why I went Jihad Campbell who was a possible BPA and still kinda fills a need. I did try and make a move for Banks but Miami wasn't budging and took him. Not a deep guard draft and I felt I had to grab him too and it wasn't a reach on scarcity.
I thought that there would be a bigger difference in athleticism between the two, with Conerly being the better athlete, but now I think that gap is close enough to be a non-factor. When Aireontae plays to his size, he looks like he has the potential to be the best pure OT in this class, but he doesn't always play like that. Conerly is the better shot to be able to play multiple positions on the line, so there is a difference in their floors, with Conerly having the higher one, IMO. If I have to choose between the two and I'm rolling the dice to come up with a tackle, I might take Ersery over Josh. If I'm drafting for a safer bet on having a long-term starter on the OL, regardless of where on the line, then I'm probably taking Conerly.
The Chiefs have lost two Super bowls in the Mahomes era. Both of the losses came from defenses that were able to rush the passer without having to bring additional pressure. Adding talent to the OL has to be the biggest priority this offseason so that they have long term solutions on the line for years to come.
Are you sure they shouldn't grab another WR that they can hype breaks records in garbage time of a losing Super Bowl? Actually screw that. I'd rather the don't get that far.
I think we are likely looking at an over/under of 6.5 players from the line going in the first. That puts KC on the fringe of what a lot of people will have as the top end of the class. You may be right on the need to move up for coveted talent, because I don't know that this draft class, overall, is deep enough for more than a pair of surprise picks to go ahead of KC and help them get some sliding talent at the line.
