I’ve seen him mocked inside the top 10. From reports (take that with a grain of salt), he’s loved by NFL guys. Tools, mechanics, IQ, and coach-ability makes him more liked than the experts would care to believe. His knock is that his ceiling isn’t as high as the top 2 guys. IMO, his floor is the same if not higher than those two.
Thats an interesting question. Ive seen some mocks by a few that have the Giants trading down in round 1 and taking Dart and accumulating a few more picks. I like the idea, but who knows? Personally, I really like Dart and he might be a tad underrated at this moment.
If the draft goes Ward, Sanders 1 - 2... I could see him going as high as 3... I genuinely believe unless Rodgers signs with the Giants they are not leaving round one without a QB. He also comes with Eli Manning's seal of approval which John Mara eats up with the silver spoon he occasionally pulls out of his bum.
My short response is I think he might go even higher. I’ve seen less exciting QBs go earlier. In truth he’s a 2nd round talent. But we all know how important the position is, so they get pushed up. I want to compare this pick to like a Hurts to the Eagles. He’s not perfect today, but it could look genius in two years. @ShanePHallam would be the best guy to ask honestly. He’s been destroying us for years now in the draft value challenge.
Fascinating thoughts re Dart, guys. Tbh i really hope you're right and he does go top10, it would be no bad thing for my team. RT is right, QB(s) get over drafted every year, we all know it, its just the importance of the position. As i mentioned yesterday, Sanders would've got serious consideration for the Saints if he fell that far. Basically the same thinking that RT had re the Rams. From the sounds of things i prob should've been giving Dart some consideration too!
The Commanders told me they had a trade with the Pats but come on, we need a little confirmation of some sort at least, especially when you are both on.
I'm not sure Steelers Fans would like it but if they Get Rodgers I could see Dart being a option at 20 but think someone tries to snag him in round 1 to get the 5th year option

This was the other guy I came painfully close to taking for the Colts. And actually the Raiders at 6 to be honest. Just thought the Raiders would want more size. He’s a weapon. If he were 6 foot tall, he is easily a top 12 pick. Great value here
