Feeling like we may need an extension decrease after the initial 3 seasons. We'll see how things look after next season.

 

A lot of it's gonna depend on how the money plays out over the first 3 offseasons, which is one of the bigger reasons everyone needed to buy in for a set of years.

However, extensions are still going to be a very important tool for retaining the talent you draft when their contracts are up.

 

Ya I've been planning on the expectation that the 3rd offseason will have the same extension numbers but that after that it can change, hopefully with some notice.

Oh geez I hope I can fix this, I put Cooks in at 11million for a 2yr contract what I meant was a 2yr contract at 5,500,000

 

I can correct it this one time, only because everyone is new to this, and this can be used to help everyone understand why getting the correct bid in is important.

Everyone has to understand that they are going to need to double check their own bids before submitting them.

Making a bid that is higher than what you intended has consequences beyond needing a correction. It also feeds false information to anyone else that may be interested in that player, and if the other manager doesn't review to see that the bid has been reduced, they may not understand that they are still in a price range they are willing to consider.

So, from this point forward, for all managers - Once your bid has been submitted it cannot be changed or modified.

I'm going to reset the clock on Cooks to when you posted this so that anyone who may have missed it has an extended opportunity to notice.

Since it was my fault, I'm willing to take the L, if Beach bums want his original contract of 3yr-$3,500,000 he can have it and I will withdraw. It was my mistake and will own up to it.
