The Philadelphia Eagles select: Tanor Bortolini, OL - Wisconsin Eagles need more line depth even with drafting the possible RT of the future earlier.
I wanted a QB #3. Milton is a QB #3. He's my choice of the bunch, who are otherwise just about indistinguishable at this point. I figured now is the right time to get him.
ATLANTA draft summary: Rounds 1-4: filled out the roster by drafting some guys. Rounds 4- : probably more of the same.
Even with having spent three mid-round picks on IOL last year and desperately needing a TE that can block, I really had to fight myself to not take Mahogany for the Pats. Terrific value.
The value was too much for me to pass. Honestly I could barely justify taking the safety first and there was only a single pick between them. The Giants are insisting on giving Neal another shot at the RT spot. But I'll be honest if it's an open competition as it's expected to be... I think Elemeunor is going to wind up the starting RT. So I am going to need interior depth for when he makes to move and I expected Mahogany to be gone about a full round before now.
I traded 2 2nds for a late 1st and a late 3rd (and a pick swap up later) and I really hated it but after getting Bortolini I think I got lucky and it worked out. He joins a draft class so far with Brandon Dorlus, Kool-Aid McKinstry and new OLine room buddy Amarius Mims.
Somehow the three of them all had a different position in mind and then unanimously agreed on the second option.
