This is more of the "reason" to complain. Not because it isn't a hold, but the fact that it is done on 75% of the plays and only called on about 5% of them. It's fine during the regular season, just to show.."you know, this IS a penalty", but in that situation at that time of the game, it's... why wasn't it called all night, both ways? Why pick THAT moment to prove your point that it's a penalty. If he had grabbed and held the jersey, that would be one thing, but it was a tug and let go, then the left hand trailing. I didn't see anything that he did that changed the outcome of the play. It didn't CAUSE him to be out of position to make a catch on the ball thrown. If anything, his fighting to get inside, instead of immediately turning outside where the ball was thrown was the "why" in the play failing. The holding didn't impede where he was trying to go.

If we called every hold, whether from a DB.... TE, O-lineman, RB or WR... They would never get a play run. Holding happens on EVERY play. Most are more egregious than this particular penalty. Hell, if they studied the play, there was more than likely a worse hold by one of KC's players than this one, on this same play.

Hurts can throw it that far. He slipped as he threw it. The Fiesta Bowl has a history of not knowing what good turf is and even the new one they put on was slippery. It also seemed to effect the outside passrushers who need to make much tighter, quicker turns than anyone else.

I thought the end of the game was wasted by the league when they allowed this penalty to stand. They could have had the refs huddle and talked to them from NY so the dramatic end could have taken place. The receiver wasn’t influenced at all by the grab. That last minute and a half could have been exciting with the Chiefs up by three.

That field totally negated the Eagles pass rush. If that game is in Philly or any other turf field the Eagles win.

Oklahoma State University made the base field. It's the exact field the Eagles used this season. HOWEVER, the NFL and their groundskeepers decided to add a different surface on TOP off that with slippery grass seed for undisclosed reasons. How soon was that added? Was it after the matchup was decided to give the Chiefs an edge? Oklahoma State was livid and had to post about it because people were slandering their field.

Terrible decision Joe and i would sure like to know Why they did that ?

I actually thought Harrison Butker was going to slip and fall on the turf before he spilt the Uprights.

WOW now that would have been a controversy.......lol
