Yeah, I think this pretty much sums it up. We were all looking at an upgrade for Jones, and instead got an upgrade for the other side. And while that's still a really good thing, it means we're pretty much stuck with Jones again. Like getting a free meal, just not quite the meal you wanted.

That and stunts. He struggled with stunts, because his ability to recover laterally after his first step and get his hands on someone seemed to be lacking. That said, Tennessee's offense is such an outlier - constantly running hurry up, etc - that I'm not sure if it's just because he didn't have the environment he needed to succeed. Playing next to Teven Jenkins, who is going to own the inside for him, should make things easier.

There is always a constant musical chairs on the o-line with this team. Are we 100% sure that Wright would never move to left tackle? Are we sure Jenkins is cemented at RG? I thought there was talk about him moving to LG now.

Oh, I'm not sure about any of it. Wright could play LT, Jones could play C, and Teven Jenkins could be traded for a bologna sandwich - I'd throw a brick through a window if that happened, but it would definitely be within the pattern of behavior for this team.

I'm just hoping they do something sensible this year. Fingers crossed.

I think Nate Jones plays RG and Jenkins moves to LG. But I don't know.

Also if Wright struggles he is probably a candidate to kick inside.

Yeah, I forgot that Nate Jones has always played RG. Jeezus, who knows what this OL is going to look like. Good news - there's more talent than there used to be. Bad news, all the pieces are gonna have to fit right. We'll see.

Not a lot of production for a guy with his size and supposed athletic ability.

I watched zero tape on this guy. Didn't really consider him a contender to be an impact guy early on, so didn't bother. Poles drafting on pure physical profile is gonna fuck us at some point. This might be it.

I like the Tuipulot kid more. Also the kid from NW but I’m no scout.

Yeah and the next pick is the DE from USC who appears to be a bonafide playmaker with tons of production in 2022 alone. Hmm.

We traded up for a CB? WTF Poles

The Jets also jumped on the Wisconsin kid way early for my tastes, so I'm wondering if this position gets hammered soon. Needs to be addressed with a meaningful pick.

I will say, drafting kids from Miami has typically been a good idea, for Chicago. As a Canes fan, looking forward to rooting for him.

CB is a need. I would rather film IMO the weakest spot of the o line with the best available player in this draft at that position but that’s just me. Fuck!

Not nearly a big enough of a need to justify a second round trade up.
