Love adding the pick next year. Took a couple upside swings at RB if available touches turn into opportunity. Couple potential starting option swings at WR. Wanted to add potential starters at LB.

Edit: Fun fact; I drafted more vets than rookies. But that’s a bit easier to justify when only picking once in the top 40 picks.

 

I also had more vets than rookies. Lots of 2nd year players though.

 

I also gave up a 3rd next year. Not sure if I would've gotten Young regardless or not. @Minnow @Willie were you taking Hooker/Stroud regardless? Don't have to answer if you want to keep your cards close for future drafts.

 

Well, they don’t have to answer. But I’m assuming both would have taken Young over the guy they got.

 

Ill be honest here. Young never crossed my mind, Im just not real high on him at all. Richardson and Stroud were both tied at the tops of my wish list... imo, those 2 have better NFL credentials/potentials, sounds crazy, but thats just how i feel.

When I traded back with, Tim and he snagged Richardson, I didnt panic, but also knew, Stroud wasnt falling to 12, so I hit the phones, lol and my intention was to trade up and snag Stroud then, but when Addison was there I went into a hizzy and couldnt make up my mind. After some time contemplating I picked Addison and thought, well maybe I'll go Hooker or someone else in that range. Low and behold, Stroud fell to 12 and I lucked out and got both my guys.

So, in hindsight, I did ok, but luck was also on my side as I mentioned, i never thought Stroud would fall to 12.
