Thanks Will! Here’s a fun story. I have now had three rookie dynasty drafts this off-season already. And the first three names on my list here, I am 3-for-3 on. Got all 3 in every league. Somewhat unintentionally, I’ve taken the second and third guy earlier in each draft as well. Now you all go ahead and forget that little story by the time our NADL draft starts lol
You know I don't like Olave but solid to move up to get him. I do like Bell. I don't know if 2.4 is too early for him but if you didn't want a RB or QB you might as well, especially since Haskins (a RB) was likely going to be there for you at #25. He could be a decent stash. I can see why you'd want Albert with Wilson there or Cobb with Adams gone. Barton makes tons of sense too. See if he's next man up at LB.
Bloody Beavers 1.1 Breece Hall, RB - NYJ 1.4 Treylon Burks, WR - TEN 1.7 Jameson Williams, WR - DET 3.7 Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE - DET 4.7 Hayden Hurst, TE - CIN 6.7 Velus Jones, WR - CHI 7.7 Mitch Trubisky, QB - PIT 7.10 Troy Andersen, LB - ATL 10.7 Haason Reddick, LB - PHI As for what I did I think it was obvious at #1. I wanted to trade up from #7 because I didn't want Olave to fall to me and I had Burks as my next guy. I traded next year's 1st and change to get my #7 pick back to get Williams since he also fell along with Olave after Skyy went. Hutchinson was to get some Edge depth on my team. Hurst is the new starting TE in Cincy and he has shown his potential when he gets to start. Lots of mouths to feed though. Jones was a BPA pick for opportunity while Trubisky is for the preseason at least. Finally finished with a pair of LBs, although Reddick could move to EDGE and that might not matter to me.
PASSWORD IS TACO 1.11 George Pickens, WR, Steelers Kid has a chance to be the best WR in the class. Size and athletic ability, plus being in Pittsburgh could mean immediate success. 2.8 Zamir White, RB, Raiders Purely just a BPA pick and the first Willie snipe. He will have to sit and wait this year but will have the opportunity to be the guy next year. 3.8 Kyle Hamilton, S, Ravens Best DB in the draft going to a prime system that will use him to have immediate impact and success. 3.11 Nakobe Dean, LB, Eagles IMO the best LB in the draft. The kid can play and should buck the worry about his size. 4.8 Jeremy Ruckert, TE, Jets A willing and good blocker will give him immediate playing time, and his athleticism will provide him the opportunity to be impactful in the passing game. 5.8 Sam Howell, QB, Commanders My personally favorite QB in the draft. Wentz has 1 year left and Howell will have a chance to learn. 6.8 Daniel Bellinger, TE, Giants Another athletic TE who has a higher ceiling. Fortunately the Giants suck and will probably be taking a QB in the top 5 next year. 7.8 David Ojabo, EDR, Ravens An easy IR stash this year. Would have been gone in probably the 4th round had he not gotten hurt. Also @Willie snipe #2 8.8 Dre Greenlaw, LB, 49ers Just a vet LB who can play if healthy. 10.8 Jason Sanders, K, Dolphins #1 kicker in 2020. The offense should be much better this year. Big time leg as well. 10.11 Kevin Austin Jr., WR, Jaguars Potential pick playing for a team that doesn’t have much at WR.
1) James Cook - If he turns out anything like his brother, im blessed. RB's went off the board fast and at #9, I was hoping someone was left. 2) Jalen Tolbert - WR's are at a premium and I picked him because of the talent and the immediate threat to possibly win a starting role in a hard hit Cowboys receiving core. 3) Brian Robinson - I like this kid's potetial to run the football. If he performs anywhere near he did at Bama, he'll be a future beast (tied for 10th in program history for career rushing touchdowns with 29 ... totaled 2,704 rushing yards for his career to finish 11th all-time in Alabama records). 4) Lewis Cine - Not just a homer pick, but a highly ranked prospect at a position I need to get fantasy point value in. 5) Chubba Hubbard - Another back added for depth. He also put up a good showing last season on a so-so team. 6) Sauce Gardner - I think I nailed this one also. Going to be a solid player on a Jets defence that will probably be on the field a bunch, lol. 7) D.J. WWonnum - Underrated performer and all the BIG names at Edge were gone... besides, I bleed purple blood. 8) Cedrick Wilson - Took a flyer on this vet as he was, in my opinion, the best option at this point in the draft available... good offensive production on an offense that should be even better this season. 9) Jermaine Johnson - Another Edge that may thrive early... another Jet on my BOMBERS team... get it? Jet, Bomber? 10) Duke Johnson - a vet getting a chance on my team and strickly a depth piece with some upside.
I saw some things on-line that said he was signed in late March... I hope its true. One of them is this... Catches on with MiamiWilson agreed Monday with the Dolphins on a three-year, $22.8 million contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Impact Wilson becomes the second Dallas receiver to head elsewhere in the past three days, as the Cowboys previously dealt Amari Cooper to the Browns on Saturday. According to Rapoport, Wilson will get $12.75 million guaranteed in the deal, with the big salary increase he'll be receiving not leaving Dallas with the flexibility to retain both him and Michael Gallup, who re-signed with the team on a five-year, $62.5 million deal. Wilson, who turned in a 45-602-6 receiving line on 61 targets while starting in four of his 16 appearances in 2021, is expected to slot in as the No. 3 receiver on Miami's depth chart behind Jaylen Waddle and DeVante Parker. The Dolphins also have Will Fuller (finger) on the roster, though he's a free agent and isn't expected to return to Miami. _____ __________________ Dolphins signing former Cowboys WR Cedrick Wilson to 3-year, $22.8M deal... this was a headline on NFL.com
It’s more this line: It reads like he’s on the same offense imo. Secondly, regardless of how I feel about Dallas, I have less confidence in Miami than wherever I have Dallas ranked. Especially offensively. But mostly my issue is just the wording
Since I knew my pick was last, I took the liberty of putting my phone on the shelf for all of yesterday and hung out with the family for the day. I gotta make a couple calls and check some things, then I’ll post a pick and set everything up on Fleaflicker. I’ll also post the cut to 40 and free agency open dates/times.
Thanks to everyone for participating and helping each other in keeping this rolling throughout. And thanks to Joe for helping to keep the board updated and organized. On to some business...
