The "sad part" is how close I did come with the Niners. They interviewed him and that Warren from Oklahoma St who I drafted in the 6th. It was almost a toss up. Neither looks special, but both show a little something. I thought Warren looked a bit faster, so that's what won out. Niners apparently like this dude more.
Other thought on both Atlanta and Carolina taking QBs in the third - for this year at least, they aren't threats to Mariota and Darnold. Mariota is reunited with Arthur Smith with a chance to show what he can do, and McAdoo gets his chance to be the Darnold Whisperer. And if they succeed, it's no big deal if Corral and Ridder are backups for a second year or even longer. Third round for a QB2 is perfectly fine.
You may not like it but TRADE ALERT: The Denver Broncos traded their 96th overall pick to the Indianapolis Colts for the 179th overall and a 2023 third-round pick
That's what I meant - the spreadsheet. If you're serious about him as your #5 UDFA, fine - I can put him in the spreadsheet or you can do it yourself since you have access.
That's the kind of trade I love from the Denver perspective. The 179 is like collecting interest for waiting a year on the third rounder, and it will be an earlier third rounder than the one they just traded.
Three Iron Man risers already and we still have a bunch of picks from the regular game still on the board.
Actually I got mixed up and thought we were already in the comp picks. I wouldn't bet against Matt Ryan with a new team.
179? 3 for a 3. If the guy works out, well worth it. And I do like the prospect so I'm cool with that.
The spreadsheet is pretty good - and should be easy to convert to use for the Iron Man version. I just need to add a lot of extra columns since there are 20 picks involved. Might also go back and see if I can figure out why my "regular" lookup formula didn't work. If I can get that right, I can cut out a full set of extra columns.
