I might have to outbid you on one of your names. But probably not. Considered one of those guys. And as we roll through the draft I have one or two teams that probably could use one more free agent since there are only so many draft picks to efficiently fill roles

Yeah, that's exactly why I'm here now... the original roster list for Atlanta had only 30 players under contract plus 9 returning practice squad guys, and no cap to bid on anyone until the thrift store had its clearance sale.

If anyone is curious, I bid on Dobbs knowing that I was about to select Jamie Newman in the draft. From a coaching standpoint, the initial play package for Newman would also fit very well for Dobbs. They'd be able to work together, with Dobbs as a mentor. (I won't say the exact details of Plan B if Newman got sniped since the player(s) involved are still available, but Dobbs would fit into that scenario as well.)

I goofed a bit. The real team signed Barkevious Mingo. I looked for him on the free agency list and didn't see him, so I bid on Alex Anzalone instead. Turns out Mingo was available all along but is listed as EDGE rather than LB.

Oh well.... I still want Anzalone. If nothing else he'll be great depth for my IR list. In the meantime...

    Falcons bid
    Barkevious Mingo - EDGE
    $1.075M (vet min)
(no previous bids - shocker, I know...)

Anzalone was the guy I considered chasing. Oh well. He can help you for 4-8 games this season

You want Anzalone? Easy enough... bid on/sign Brandon King and we'll trade Anzalone for King...

Just to make it official... the Falcons sign Barkevious Mingo.

(Why? Because the real team did.)
