No Combine this year, so we gotta make the best of it...Ohio State Pro Day is today at noon (EST) on NFL channel.
Broncos select: Aashari Crosswell - S - Arizona St And member of this year’s “All-Name” team...cuz that’s just bad-ass!
With the 27th pick of the 7th round, and the Bills last selection of the 2021 draft, Buffalo picks: Adrian Ealy, OT, Oklahoma
The Bills traded down from 6 (29) and acquired 7 (6 & 27). That pick, if kept, would have resulted in Jonathan Marshall, NT, Arkansas, going to BUF. (He went to GB with 6 (36); my 2nd prospect was snagged one spot later; Cary Angeline, TE, NC State, at 6 (30). What do these two have in common? BOTH were taken by pain-in-my-ass-Lyman. Instead of NT J. Marshall, the Bills snagged Malik Herring, DT, Georgia, and Adrian Ealy, OT, Oklahoma. Whattya think?
I'll post the Bills selections later and provide my rationale for the selections. However, what I'd really like is to see hard-nosed critiques by those of you that know player evaluation much better than this hockey fan.
Boo Hoo . . . If you recall, early on I made a post about having extra picks. You could have had those picks (plus 7-29) for a 2022 4th rd pick. I got no takers so I've just been on BPA cruise control for the past two rounds.
@Lyman Unless I'm mistaken, I think all of these picks started from where you are looking at on the sheet. Jets select Marlon Character, DB - Louisville the TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS select; Tony Fields II - OLB - West Virginia The Buffalo Bills select: JaCoby Stevens, S, LSU Broncos select: Aashari Crosswell - S - Arizona St
Great answer. It goes in line with the one I have as I didn't specify which HoF. So, there are four players. Dick LeBeau, Art Donovan, Ernie Davis and . . . . . . John Havlicek.
The Buffalo Bills 2021 draft: - 1 /30, (30 o/a), Jaelan Phillips, EDGE, Miami - 2/29, (61), Tyson Campbell, CB, Georgia - 3/21, (85), Trey Smith, OG, Tennessee (traded up from 3/30 (94) and 4/29 (135) - 5/30, (176), Tony Poljan, TE, Virginia - 5/33, (179), Charles Snowden, OLB, Virgina (traded down from 5/17 (162) and also obtained 7/25 (253)) - 7/6, (235), Malik Herring, DT, Georgia (traded down from 6/29(214) and also obtained 7/27 (256)) - 7/8, (237), Olaijah Griffin, CB, USC - 7/25, (254), JaCoby Stevens, S, LSU - 7/27, (256), Adrian Ealy, OT, Oklahoma Comments/rationale to follow.
I can see Phillips going around that spot, and I'm mocking Tyson into the bottom of the first right now so one feels like solid value and the other feels like a bit of a steal. Herring is an solid prospect and feels like really good value in the top of the 7th.
