2021 GMO Draft - UDFA

So I’ve been following all the real life FA signings.
Only one name jumped out and made me say “Who?”

Raiders sign C Andre James to 3 year deal at $4M + AAV. Looked him up. How is an OL who was on the roster 16 weeks but wasn’t worth a single start worth $4M + ?

I think Mayock might have dropped the ball on that one

 

Mayock and Gruden have made a lot of questionable decisions from the start of their tenure. If it weren’t for that contract I’d think he’d be on the hot seat this year.

 

@RTTRUTH you are absolutely right about grades being all over the place...This is the year to trust your eyes.

...did I mention how disappointed I was that we didn't get an NFL Combine?

He’s a guy I like. Great instincts. I just didn’t get a great feel for his ideal fit. I think in time though you can probably ask him to do multiple things.

Definitely may have been cleared up with some combine drills/measurables

 

The Miami dolphins select Creed Humphrey, C, Oklahoma.

He was the other player I was deciding between before the trade down with the Saints. Happy he was still there and that should complete the Oline makeover for the dolphins.

Well I was going OT 1st round but because the RT and Torgo trade was a disaster (just because it was a last second deal). I went to the second pick on my board but it was a huge need as well. Then in the second, gotta protect the franchise QB, and what better than a guy who got to protect three of the most explosive players in NCAA last season.
