Certainly cuts on the tedium of the scoring. Anyway it can be more easily scored via excel/sheets would be worth considering. Picks is a lot easier since its the way the NFL formats it. Counting picks in the round adds to the tedium. What tweaks in scoring did you have in mind?
The competition and methodology behind the scoring is perfect. This event keeps me engaged throughout the draft. It's really fun. I gripe because ya'll are slow on the scoring, but the game in and of itself is ingenious.
Ya it's fun. The trick is trying to find a fort that doesn't kill the fun but we need to adjust the weighting of scores because it's off. It seemed to work early but as the years passed and the sample sizes got larger we've seen the problems, especially the last 3 years. I've banged the scoring out in 2 days before with the same number of people. You just gotta get in the grove. RT didn't get in the groove lol.
Well I have a soon-to-be 3 year old and had 2 dynasty drafts within one week of the real draft ending. I never really had a chance of getting in the groove early this year.
Done scoring. Here's a fun breakdown and at least one interesting fact (not-so-humble brag hidden within). For the Riser category the leaders were: 1 Quew 240 2 Truth 207 3 Shane 203 4 Tim 130 For the Faller category the leaders were: 1 Quew 229 2 Truth 209 3 Shane 195 4 LAOJoe 148 For the Drafted Correct category the leaders are (only 3 ended in the positives): 1 LAOJoe 84 2 Shane 67 3 TopDawg 10 4 Truth -14 The FUN sidenote is that only two players managed to finish a category with zero negatives incurred; myself and Quew, both in the Faller category took absolutely no negatives. Man Shane and Quew have been outright dominant in this thing though. I keep telling myself last year was a fluke and I can take them. But it just keeps ending the same way.
You did well because of a good drafted correctly section. I figured I got a close 2nd (I knew when Denver made their pick at 7(30). Which I did. I figured RT was 3rd. I also figured TopDawg was middle of the pack, and he was 5th. Nice to make it official though.
I did pretty good on the fallers too. I knew the Risers killed me. I expected I got 5th at best with TD being 4th but I did better than expected. I'm glad I hit a guy dead on and led that category at least. This is a win after some recent pitiful showings.
Thanks for running this! It is always a fun and unique contest that gives way to a lot of thought. I'd be down to try and automate some in Sheets if that would help!
