NEW YORK - Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour has been fined $25,000 for comments following Game 1 of the team's First Round series against the Boston Bruins, the National Hockey League announced today. Additionally, Brind'Amour has been assessed a conditional fine of $25,000, which will be collected, in addition to any subsequent discipline, in the event of similar inappropriate behavior through Aug. 12, 2021. The fine money goes to the NHL Foundation.
Will.........that was a Hand Pass BUT turns out to be a good goal once after Mrazek covers the puck....Brind'Amour has NO argument. Too Bad.....So Sad.....Move On. Get ready for Game 2 today.
Go Canucks Go..........they looked good last night and Horvat played well but Quinn Hughes was the Star for me.
I didnt see a clutched hand on the puck from Ritchie, Bjork or Slavin, just some gloves touching the puck... the only control and clutch was with Mrazek. Canes scored a shorty anyways, so Rod maybe should have been more careful chosing his words after the game. Hell, even Torts didnt go that nuts, lol.
feel badly for Claude Julien, hoping he recovers quickly and can watch his Habs get swept. Hoping. Carolina and Dallas with huge wins yesterday. Columbus firmly entrenched in the heads of everyone wearing a sweater for Tampa Bay.
As much as I hate Montreal and no where near as much as Matty, I cant stand the Flyers either... hoping they both lose in 7.
Agreed. that said, Ron Hextall has not received the appreciation that he deserves. He was steadfast on holding on to kids and picks and now that team is reaping the benefits. For so long they were buyers and extremely aggressive for short term gains while risking long term success. Hextall was the one to change that, and then he was fired. Either way, screw them.
Not sure why I wanted a sweep in this series. Habs/Flyers going 7 and beating the snot out of each other would be ideal.
While I don't know the available GM hires as well as I should, and I'm always skeptical of re-treads given their histories, I would really not be upset at Hextall being the new hire in Florida...
