Im seeing STARS, baby! Denis Gurianov scored a power-play goal 3:36 into overtime, and the Dallas Stars advanced to the Stanley Cup Final with a 3-2 win against the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final at Rogers Place in Edmonton on Monday. Gurianov took a pass from John Klingberg and scored on a one-timer from the right face-off circle. "Unreal feeling, obviously," Klingberg said. "All the hard work we've been putting down is to be where we're at, to be where we are right now. We're one series away from the Stanley Cup. … The ups and downs we've been going through. It's all worth it. We're there now. One series left. We're not done yet." The Stars, who advanced to the Cup Final for the first time since 2000, will play the Tampa Bay Lightning or New York Islanders. Tampa Bay has a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 Eastern Conference Final. Game 5 is in Edmonton, the hub city for the conference finals and Cup Final, on Tuesday (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, SN, TVAS). NHL.com
Islanders could shuffle lines against Lightning in Game 5 of East Final Need more production from forwards Barzal, Lee, Eberle with New York facing elimination ____________ _______________________ They better figure something out... Tampa Bay's defense has been brutal against them. Game 5 tonight at 8pm et... per NHL.com - Their top line of Mathew Barzal, Anders Lee and Jordan Eberle has struggled, a big reason New York faces elimination in Game 5 of the best-of-7 series. None of the three forwards had a point in Game 4, a 4-1 loss in Edmonton, the hub city for the conference finals and the Stanley Cup Final, on Sunday. Barzal and Lee each has gone five straight games without a goal; Eberle's goal in Game 1 is his only one in the past 15 games.
Stars will play Lightning in Stanley Cup Final; Game 1 is Saturday Dallas in championship round for first time since 2000; Tampa Bay made it in 2015 The Dallas Stars will play the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup Final. Game 1 will be Saturday in Edmonton, the hub city for the Cup Final (7:30 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, TVAS). "Obviously it's going to be a really good matchup, and we've got to find ways to slow their back end down and just play our kind of hockey," Lightning forward Pat Maroon said. "They're playing really good. They're playing with a lot of confidence right now, so it's going to be a fun series, so we're looking forward to it." Tampa Bay defeated the New York Islanders 2-1 in overtime in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final on Thursday to advance to the Cup Final for the first time since 2015. "It's a quick turnaround, but as we've approached every series, we obviously make the adjustments we need to in our game plan," Lightning defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk said. "But at the end of the day, we focus on what we're putting out there, and we feel like our best effort is all we can ask for in the locker room and see how it plays out at that point." Dallas defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 in overtime in Game 5 on Monday to win the Western Conference Final and reach the championship round for the first time since 2000. "We've got a great team," Stars captain Jamie Benn said. "Everyone's bought into their role. … Probably one of the best teams, if not the best team I've played on. We just jell as a group. It's fun in that locker room, and we're going to try and keep this thing going." Dallas entered the Stanley Cup Playoffs as the No. 3 seed in the West after the round-robin portion of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers. It defeated the Calgary Flames in six games in the first round and the Colorado Avalanche in seven games in the second round. "It's a feeling you can't describe," Stars coach Rick Bowness said. "… You only get so many cracks at going to the Stanley Cup Final. You've got to take advantage of it. For me as a coach, it's just gratifying for the players. They've worked so hard. They've come together. We've been resilient all year." Tampa Bay was the No. 2 seed in the East and eliminated the Columbus Blue Jackets and Boston Bruins in five games each. NHL.com

Game 1 , tonight at 7:30pm et... Stamkos is out, but according to NHL.com, he may play in the Finals... Im rooting for Dallas and I have no real idea why, lol.
I’m pulling for the Stars because the Bolts were such dicks in the 15 SCF. I also think the 20th anniversary for the Worst Call in the history of sports will get played often. Cannot hate on the Stars when it was not them, but the refs, that jobbed them from Lord Stanley Cup glory.
2012, Vasilevskiy was the first G off the board at #19. Bruins took the next goalie, Malcolm Subban, five picks later. Safe to say Chiarelli missed the boat on that one.
