Ziti struggled for us last year but he hurt his shoulder early in the year and speculation is it was a problem all season long. I honestly thought the Ziti for Vernon trade was a good one for both teams. I think it really has been a lose lose though...

 

Actually, I never traded Zeitler to you. If you recall, I gave you Austin Corbett instead.

Weird season for the Falcons. 1-7 start followed by a 6-2 finish after Dan Quinn realized how badly he had messed up on the coaching staff.

(Hmmm.... let's move the RB coach to special teams, move the WR coach to RBs to take his place, have our best defensive guy coach the WRs, and put a local high school coach in charge of defensive linemen. What could possibly go wrong?)

 

Steve Barkowski could get another knee injury.

 

Good QB from the 70's era..btw it's Bartkowski #10. They had a little more than just the "grits blitz". Fun team to watch.

 

I lived in Atlanta at the time. Falcons were on every Sunday, but with no AFC team near Atlanta the Steelers were on almost every week too.

 

They weren't on EVERY Sunday though. Most home games were subject to the blackout in those days.

No doubt that was a Good Thing. The fewer people who actually saw Kim McQuilken or Pat Sullivan attempt to play quarterback, the better.
