BROWNS rescind earlier bid on OT Riley Reiff
    $11,000,000

Previous bid was WAS at $8,000,000

Redskins are good with that. R. Reiff $8m

After signing Dante Fowler earlier, the dolphins will rescind their offer on Kyle Van Noy at $12,000,000. Just a little much to spend on two Edge players.

The previous bid was Arizona at $11,000,000.

I'd like to understand why Quinn had a chance to immediately sign and this situation has it revert to 48 hours? I mean couldn't someone bid up on Quinn still for instance since they could have bumped the Giants but not the Cowboys?

We do seem to have a bit of gray area. I'm okay with whatever is made official....

If everyone wants to go back to $0 on Riley Reiff, I'm fine with that.

I’m working with limited availability this year so the first rescind gives the previous bidder the opportunity to sign. If it goes back one more it’s 48 hours.

That’s just the way it is this season, but there are way too many bids being taken back this year.

Really? Tim who do you want? Bid as low as you can, I'll bid once and rescind so you can sign him right away and no one has a chance to continue bidding. Not that I expect anything like that but it's a similar idea that bids could still happen. I feel that should only be the case if the player is awarded after 48 hours and the signing is declined. Do you get what I mean?

I agree, but we are working in a limited window of time so it is what it is.

    The Steelers have signed;

    Bud Dupree, LB
    $9,000,000

    Eagles Sign Byron Jones $17.5M
I could go back $2.5M and reset the clock but I'll just get this headache of a bidding war over with.

I know this much for sure - Next season there will be cap penalties involved for rescinding bids.

I don’t know the exact framework for it yet but it is going to cost owners when they repeatedly involve themselves in overreaching bids.

    Talk about confusion...whew! lol!

Just someone let me know if I'm in on Reiff at $8m or if he's back on the market at $0.

If yours is the third bid back it is now on the 48 hour clock.

That's exactly why I originally asumed that if you rescind on a player, you are OUT on that player regardless.

  16. TopDawg Legend

It is. I'm in at $8 right now.

Probably should be that way and if @Lyman and @Willie agree then you are out on Reiff and he goes back into the pool.

I disagree with this. Bidding is pretty fluid and why wouldn’t you be able to pull an offer for someone? If you sign one guy it changes the plans each time.

You shouldn’t have to wait until you get outbid to put a bid on someone else. There’s a lot of moving parts IMO.

Because constantly making bids with the idea that you will just yank it if you sign 3 other players screws up the bidding and the clock for everyone else.
