On that note about defense being the weak side this year...for me the one clear exception is DT. Pretty solid group IMO
LB is weird for sure. I grabbed 2 B2B in the 4th. I took one who has a character red flag for the Eagles but I don't think it will be an issue. A team fight and cheating on homework? Meh. For the Bills I took a guy I think is being undervalued in general.
Safety I think. As for another non-TE position... tough to pinpoint honestly. I could say coverage LB is poor but it always is in the age of RuSh THe P@S$ER LOL.
The Chicago Bears select: Antonio Gibson, WR - Memphis The Dallas Cowboys select: J.R. Reed, S - Georgia
Reached for Sneed there but it's part of a ridiculous mindset that I took into this draft for Seattle.
My 2-man list from last pick has survived and I'm on deck. I flip flopped between them so I don't care who I take.
Are buffalo sandwiches good? Because Torgo has one. edit: Now I'm craving a buffalo chicken burger. Maybe I'll order one tonight.
It's interesting that you say that @RTTRUTH because I'm having trouble liking a lot of what I see from this group. Some clear cut talent at the tip top followed by a lot of guys that I see as extremely scheme dependent and likely rotational pieces. That goes across the board from 1 tech, 3 tech and 5. Linebacker is one that I'm finding a sort of comfort level with because I'm seeing a lot of position flexible guys (can play OLB or ILB) and some safeties that I think should consider being converted. It's a weird class in that there doesn't appear to be several clear cut guys in each slotting but there's some talent that needs to be utilized here. What's tough about that is which site lists which WRs where. Some guys are clearly slot receivers but there are some other hands in this class that are going to likely see a ton of time in the slot, even though their not listed as specifically that.
The Dairy Queen in my hometown is one of the few that are truly independent. The owner has say over almost every aspect of his spot and because of that the quality is a lot better than any other fast food joint you'll come across. The Flamethrower burger they slang there is fucking phenomenal.
I agree there. It isn't like one of the more recent classes we had where true LBs just really didn't exist at all.
It was an adventure Lym. Holy shit the wind is gusting out there! It was a fight just trying to keep it on the road at times. Definitely more of a Goldwing day, or something similar. My 750 just not a big enough bike for those conditions. lol! Oh well. At least got out of the house for a bit. On a side note: The flooding in central Ohio is severe. It's unbelievable. Probably as bad as I can remember....
Heck I actually took 2 DTs for the Eagles because it seems a lot may have to do with fit and I want to hit on one of them at least. Murchison and Lynch. And I took Murchison first who I bet a majority would think was a reach or panic pick. Not at all. He was the target there. And as I've mentioned before, Lynch is a bit of a tweener despite being one of the nationally known prospects. I like the DT class if you know what you are looking for and for what but I wouldn't call it surely stacked.
We just missed the storm here. It rained a bit but it passed south or dissipated. It was supposed to storm early morning until at least about now. But it's calm. It's only 14C instead of 20C though because of that. However south and east of my city apparently are getting a storm soon so I might JUST be on the border of it.
My problem with linebacker might be that I am not deep enough in my scouting yet. I don’t want to give too much away, but let’s just say that I’m not as high as some on some of the top-tier guys to start with. And then the guys that the rankings I have put in midrounds I find just terrible, probably barely worth a seventh round pick. So maybe I just need to get deeper and hit that projected seventh round to UDFA group to find a couple I like. As for the DTs, I mean you aren’t wrong that there’s quite a few rotational guys. What I kind of meant is that regardless of your scheme, I feel like you can find someone that fits in almost any tier of the draft. I don’t feel the same with inside linebackers, at least yet.
