I have lists for Miami on the clock, and the bills after them. I will post both of those as soon as I verify who I am picking with San Francisco right after that
I’ll do my best to snipe the hell outta ya. But at this point really just swinging at upside plays. Especially with Niners on deck, who haven’t had a pick since 1.31, our only pick so far.
Well this WAS going to be Plan C, just in case my two man list gets wiped out....Yikes. So much for that. Good pick.
When I had to make a plan B for Buffalo last pick to give to RT I put a tight end on because I didn't really make a plan B. RT took that plan B for himself. So maybe a good thing I didn't put this guy there last time lol. RT I'm just messing with you.
I know, because after that combine, Okwuegbunam will go higher than where I took him. Not to mention TE is listed as a need in quite a few columns for Houston (although I don’t entirely agree), and I hadn’t touched it in FA or the draft up until the 4th round.
Just for some background, this was sort of an agonizing pick for me. Again, because the Niners do not have many picks and they want to stay a contender. I’m trying to fill a few holes with very few assets. There were about five different DBs I considered here. In the end Wallace may have won out based on a little recency effect. I was watching some of his tape last night, and for the most part I was fairly impressed. He’s pretty responsible in the run game and he doesn’t overreact early. He also made a couple plays in coverage that show he’s at least capable of handling a single high role. That is something San Fran could be taking seriously after losing Jimmie Ward in FA. If it were actually my job to get these choices right, I probably would have re-watched several games of all five potential picks here. As it stands, just went with Wallace who gives me that fuzzy feeling
He has the speed and general athleticism. He has played a lot of games for Clemson, including a few 15-game seasons with extra games against top caliber competition. If he's a system fit, he's an excellent choice.
