From what I've seen, it's across the board as far as food goes. Some types of bread vanish faster than others. For some reason, a local brand of "whole wheat" is in short supply, where you can get as much as you want of the same brand of "whole grain" or "honey wheat". Canned vegetables are in shorter supply than usual, but you can still get them in limited quantities - the stores are saying limit two on any type of item, not just specific brands or sizes or varieties. For example, you can only buy two cans of corn even if they're different brands, one is sweet white corn and the other yellow corn, etc. I think the decreasing supply on the shelves is related to what someone else already noted - less stuff is coming in on the trucks. That's bad news for the long term if we can't get past the self-quarantine stage soon. The good news is that once China went into lockdown mode, they did manage to 'flatten the curve' in 25 days. On the other side of the spectrum, Italy didn't recognize the severity of the problem until it was too late, and they got overwhelmed. (Something scary to think about is that Italy has more doctors per capita than the U.S.) So the big question is whether we fall closer to the China/Korea side of the spectrum or the Italy side. Unfortunately, our government didn't really take it all that seriously for a long time. When the NBA shuts down two days before we declared the national emergency to free up funding, that's a pretty big clue - we were behind the curve, and now we're going to have to beef up the acute / intensive care capacity in a hell of a hurry or our mortality rate will spike like Italy.
@LAOJoe - this was the player I was going to take with that cheap trade offer. I pegged him for early second round at least for this mock. At that point of the first round it would have been a reach based on the pick used, but it would have made perfect sense based on what was traded. Made it surprisingly close to my #47 pick even without trading up.
I missed it because everyone waited until their time haha. I checked at 3am this morning and then I turned my focus to work, this coronavirus has us Haha
I thought he might look elsewhere considering the moves he made in FA, then circle back for a rusher a bit later.
Giving Brady a backfield mate like that is just gold...Couldn't have fallen any better for Tampa IMO.
The New York Giants tried Romeo and it didn't work out so we are giving Juliet a try... The Giants select Julian Okwara, EDGE, Notre Dame.
The Panthers signed Brady in this one. The Bucs have Mariota and Love at QB, and now Jones, Hyde, Montgomery and Dobbins (maybe more?) at RB.
In this event, Raiders signed David Onyemata and Javon Hargrave, but that didn't prevent me from jumping all over Kinlaw when he fell to #19...
With Brady there you might see someone like Ogunbowale turn into a reliable fantasy back. If the Bucs do go after a runner in the real thing I would be surprised if they approached the position in the early rounds. What wouldn't surprise me would be a big investment on the offensive line (multiple picks) and a project quarterback sometime starting around round 5.
Honestly what I did in FA and what Gettleman did is WORLD'S apart. I am having trouble separating and keeping my focus on what I would do in my GM scenario at this point. But Kinlaw is a guy I like a lot.
