Tim it's not even an exception. It falls under the rule that you don't have to have an active starter if all your rostered options are out/bye. Start them if you have them. You just have to be on the minimum. So you couldn't cut your SPT on bye(or not) for another depth spot if you didn't have another SPT. It's the same if you have 2 rostered qbs and both are on bye, or one is on bye and other got injured early in week. You can't be forced to make roster moves to get a starter. I am sure I'm not mistaken on this.
Right, but I’m talking about prior to the inactivity rule being written up. No one has ever been warned for having a bye week special teams in their starting line up. I asked if anyone wanted something specifically written into the rules for SPTs so there wouldn’t be any further confusion considering it’s the only spot that has ever had an exception without clarification going back to the start of the league. And exceptions are also supposed to be brought to a commissioner when it comes to having a starting line up not in compliance.
I don’t think it’s necessary. As stated earlier, it’s an unwritten rule that you don’t need to switch it out if on a bye.
Week 11 the Rams had 3 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, 3 sacks, scored twice and still didn't get any fantasy points. Granted they also gave up a shitload of points and yards but when your defense scores 14 points that ought to account for something right?
Then why don't we have separate spots for Punt Returner and Kick Returner? Is it possible to have a spot for those that the player in that spot ONLY earns points on SPT, but could also be on another roster in their regular position? Website probably doesn't allow for that much leeway...

Tried to set it up but there is no option to single out one position on the starting roster for return points. I emailed FF to see if it is an option they are considering. Unless something comes up, I believe this is the date it will all go down.
@beachbum You’re the only one not in compliance with our 30 man roster at the minute. Probably an honest mistake. The total the site lists doesn’t include your taxi guys.
