Sorry about the pause. Well timed trade up ya sumbitch! Also I was asleep. But figured I would get the other Devin there
Never did a dynasty league before, but I'm quickly learning that rookies don't last. I expected Fant, Arcega-Whiteside, and at least one of the Devin's to be available in the 3rd
Well I was saying to Joe last night this draft has probably been the most fun so far. Plenty of intrigue and surprise selections. Maybe the most trading we’ve ever had
Rooks definitely get snapped up. Small bit of friendly advice too: if you’re ever going to hose someone in a trade, it will likely be trading them a rookie. Value looks highest when people are picturing a guys ceiling. Which let’s be honest, they often don’t reach. To date the best trade I’ve made in this league involved rookies on both sides. The guy I traded away is barely in the NFL now.
I'll add one piece of advice that doesn't always work to your advantage, but I still think it's the best advice you can get for a dynasty league - Stick to your war board and your own personal rankings. This way, at the end of the day, that team is your team no matter what.
The hardest part of making a board is defense. I've never drafted defensive players in a league. So I haven't put heavy stock in defense. I'm like the reverse Ozzie Newsome Ravens
My basic view on it is to understand the scoring, then profile that against your individual team needs.
Yeah that’s a tougher one. Just have to learn as you go. The good news is that defense scores less anyways. So if you fail with your offensive starters it’s probably a 15-25 point deficit weekly. If you fail finding defensive starters it’s probably at most 10/11 points difference between you and your opponent
